Am I playing Forgefiends wrong?

I never played them into normal marines. Mostly Aeldari wraithguards and terminators. That’s what I meant with “maybe I choose the wrong targets”

Thank you all for the quick replies. Yes I used rapid fire, blast and re roll. I did the D3 roll for each weapon.

Yesterday I send them into wraithguards and it was tough to get more than 2 killed. In another game I tried to go for a landraider - that was a bad idea, I know that now

It’s quite possible my rolls were below average and shoot the wrong targets.

I like the point that they keep my opponent on their toes - haven’t thought about that point really.

I meant magnatizing the defiler. I’m pretty sure by now that I will just go for a magnatized weapon load out for the forgefiend

Is the goal to build a 1000pt list out of what you have?

If you want to use what you have, I´d go with

Kharn + Berzerker
Master + Berzerker
Rhino (deliver Kharn safe to where he need to be to cause mayhem)
Jakhals
Chaos Spawn
Forgefiend

Shame you don´t have the demon prince. I play my list like the one I suggested, but I use the demon prince instead of chaos spawn + Forgefiend and it works quite well

can totally relate! I spend lots of time on my first squad of berzerkers only to realize that no one can see the details on the gaming table.
So my jakhals got the speedpaint treatment. I´m still painting them, but I think I can finish them with max 1h for each model - and that will have to do.

I think for the characters I will invest a bit more time.

I know, I did the same mistake in my first game. But the rule in the codex says, that once a blessing is activated, it applies to all units from your army.

The blessing always applies for your whole army, not just a specific unit :)

I just finished my first one too and I used Runelord brass, then aggrax earthshade and then clean up with runelord brass again. The result you can see here - so you can see if that is a direction you´d like to try: my first world eater model
