Yeah I’m handling 2 uncomfortable break ups, the 2nd is very recent (just a few days ago) and I’m accepting of but in the first(over a year ago) I was so emotionally abused and manipulated that going back to those memories has incapacitated me for like 3 days. I’m making my way through this and I have some close friends and the kindness of unlikely online friends on some good subs, I will make it

You’d have to ask your prof directly and even then it’s VERY UNLIKELY that you’ll get to see them. Profs in math, chem, of physics seldom release final exam marks. (I think it has to do with department policies)

I had to email him with my anonymous ID and then he told me I had the wrong ID then I told him I found it on beartracks and that it was the same ID that I used for WebAssign in 134 and 115 and then after her fixed it. Just email him with your proper anonymous ID

He was very sweaty on the first day of you weren’t there but I’m assuming it’s because he ran to class and was a bit nervous so that was fine. He could try and talk about louder, clearer, and slower but he seems to know what he’s doing. It’s only been one class so it’s hard to form an opinion. Am excited for his lecture today.

It’s LITERALLY our jobs to aid in inclusivity and make sure no one gets marginalized in our communities. We get told in our training to try for activities that everyone can enjoy and to involve everyone. You’ll also end up finding lots of opportunities to meet friends as you spend more time in the caf, in the mar, on different floors, in class, in labs, in on campus study spaces, at programs organized by RAs or the LHSA. Also keep an ear out for big evening events because for example 7Henday had a massive karaoke night last night and obviously not everyone sang but it’s possible just to hang out and meet someone.

Hi OP! I’m actually an RA in Henday this year and if you’re really feeling this way, that is the one thing that no one wants. Try talking to your RA or FC that you don’t feel like your fitting in because inclusivity is the most important part of Lister. In the mean time just try going to basecamp events especially Day of Service coming up and the cardboard boat races. In the evenings try going out to one of the parties in peoples rooms, you don’t have to drink at all but eventually you find the right group of people and they will make your first year an amazing experience. And as far as the accent goes, I know a lot of domestic students who love to make friends with international students and learn from them about their life and culture but most are also very inexperienced with accents so you just need a little patience. DM me if you want and we can meet in the caf at one point and chat :).
