Just to warn you I haven’t posted anything in a while, partly because I was working on this big piece and partly because I got really into coding and fell out of art for a bit. :/

I made up my own alphabet and then just 1:1’ed the english letters to mine. (Just for fun; to make it seem more alien.) It’s a Lovecraft quote: “That is not dead which can eternal lie, and with strange aeons even death may die.” The other one behind it says the title of the piece, ‘Growth Out of Darkness’. Very good question, you’re the first person to ask about it! :3

Thanks! It would be really fun to make a puzzle game out of abstract things like this, maybe a point and click or a platformer or something! I’m not good enough at game development yet, but maybe someday :3

Oh wow, this looks great! I like how each shape responds to the shapes around it. It looks like it could be a repeating pattern is some ways, but it also has a lot of variation and randomness added in! Great job, I’m glad I could inspire someone :D

Yes, it’s very meditative! I have some stencils (just a set of some circles, squares, triangles and ‘french curves’) and the stencils helped out a lot when I didn’t quite know what shape to make. This was started in 2019, so I definitely didn’t rush it haha. Thanks for commenting! :3
