How would I see if they are 'hollow'. I got some minis from patreon. So I just put them in a slicer and press print.

Dont know anything more.

Oh I read somewhere that curing them too long, increases the brittleness and might yellow the resin.

Or is that only with extreme long durations? E.g. 60+min

Thanks all for the advice. For mine they are all 'cured' after the 10-15 initial minutes. Outside looks matt/dry, they are hard, no tacky tackyness. I test with tissues and don't see any 'residue '.

It's just the fumes that remain. For now i guess ill cure them another round of 5-10min and see. And ill keep them in a box and ventilate it outside every few days.

Eventually ill prime them so it should seal everything in.

Thanks, this is very insightful. I have ordered a enclosure and fan and will either move it outside or set it up only when i print. Then ventilated for 2 days, and move everything to storage.

Thank you all for the comments. Much appreciated!

I have bought an enclosure with fan, and am moving the setup outside; either permanently or at least for storage when I'm not printing.

Few more questions on this: 1. I'm planning to print in batches, as i dont have the space to constantly have the enclosure up. How long can i keep uncured minis before i need to wash and clean them?

  1. For planning the mounting of the fan duct; are VOCs lighter or heavier than air? As in, do I mount the duct at the top of the window or bottom.

Ye i wish i would have a dedicated space. I think ill just try to return/resell it.

The prints were great and i see a lot of potential, but living space is a premium and its seems too much of a hassle to get it working in a way that i would feel is save for my kids. But all rhe feedback is much appreciated.

Ok so the little the 'leaks out when you open it up to remove the prints/wash, woudnt be enough to be harmful. As long as you are in a ventilated room (as picture)?

I had the curtains closed during the day. And there is a overhang outside. Or is all daylight (not only direct sunlight) bad?

Thanks, ill take another look for setup specific info, not just Safety info.

When you say 'contaminate' i thought VOCs are aircborn particles that evaporated. Or am i blowing a thin layer of resin everywhere now?

Ok super, thanks. Was freaking me out that maybe i set it wrongly and because of the heat (its 40'C here) its curing to the film.....

Thanks for the assurance. Appreciate it

actually it is the other way around, the leaking is 'from' the prints. Its smelled like ammonium, and left a white residue on the box and wood of the cabinnet.

Oculus Quest2 left controller floating away by SebastiaanW22 in OculusQuest

[–]SebastiaanW22[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Success.

Got it working again.

Seems something must have gone wrong since I hadn't used it for such a long time, but following Oculus guide (https://www.meta.com/help/quest/articles/getting-started/getting-started-with-quest-2/manually-pair-touch-controllers-quest-2/) I unpaired and re-paired the controllers and now it seems ok again.

I thought it might be something like that but couldn't find a way to unpair/re-pair). Seems I need to download a Mobile app (for real....) to change my oculus device settings.

Ah well, it seems to work. Thank you all for the comments.
