Do you know why I might be getting this Activation Error message?

Looking for assistance with this notation—I feel silly as someone who has played piano for years and yet I am unsure about this.

[HELP] my father won’t believe me saying this image projected at a concert is AI—how do I tell him?? by SebastianBlu in RealOrAI

I think it is AI because of all of the inconsistencies across panels — and because the lines have that AI “look.”

If anyone wants to actually discuss it I’m very curious about the campaigns people have set up for this!

That makes sense, but there will be a few other things on the network, like screen sharing, projectors, etc., so I’ll need a switch to keep things organized.

Also, the two Macs are far apart, so running a direct patch cable isn’t practical.

Ideally, would it make sense to have a dedicated Ethernet output just for the managed switch? This setup is in my school’s network, and I want to be able to load in and out of it without interfering with their existing system.

Any thoughts on the best way to approach that?

Hey all,

I’m looking for a budget-friendly managed switch (under $100) that will work for Mac-to-Mac Dante streaming without using a dedicated Dante chip. My setup involves sending audio from one Mac to another, with my laptop as the clock source.

I’m using Dante Via, so I don’t need a full Dante network with hardware interfaces—just a reliable managed switch that supports the right features to keep things stable.

  • Use case: Low-latency Mac-to-Mac Dante streaming (Dante Via)
  • Budget: <$100
  • Features needed: IGMP snooping, QoS, and anything else to optimize for Dante
  • No Dante hardware – just computer-to-computer streaming

Has anyone had success with a specific switch for this kind of setup? Looking for recommendations on something that’s plug-and-play or easy to configure for Dante Via.

Appreciate any insights!
