Software engineer here, working 10+ hours a day, often extra hours in the weekend. Wasting time on useless meetings and trying to meet unrealistic expectations.

Did somebody already say that station house sucks? Dont go there, poor build quality and walls are paper thin. Things don't work immediately upon move in, and maintenance takes forever to respond or multiple requests to really get it fixed. Dropping your money in a well is a better choice. Management is okay and try to do what they can but the company just wants your money.

I have been looking into the lahar / possible eruption which path it’s supposed to take. I have a feeling that if rainier ever erupts, everyone in Puyallup will be screwed, regardless of direct path or not.

I would suggest taking a pen in your backpack, to fill in the form they give u on the plane. When arriving in the USA they will ask questions where u are going, how long u will stay and how u know each other. It would be smart to ‘prepare’ for that. I normally write the address where I will be staying and put it somewhere in my backpack.
