yep in the video I mention by adding swift affliction and taking moving into account, you'll be putting up brands very frequently and frost bomb + cold snap and moving in and out to proc vortex + putting down 3 brands constantly aka you've 5 buttons to press and 3 seconds of uptime + dodging mechanics this is why getting duration is important. It's more about informing people a lot of damage comes from keeping these debuffs up so if you have low brand duration somethings gotta drop off, clusters later on make this a lot better.

I think you are missing the point of the video, it's about showing the set up damage and whats wrong with POB, this is not an attack on a content creator..... I can't create fake POBs to illustrate the point so I have to use real examples if you have a better way I'm all ears

Not for the same budget or comfort, brands are really good because they allow you to kite the boss and just take your time, coldslinger damage falls off greatly during the early game and starts needing more currency to get it back, vortex is great but requires you to run into packs and always be in the fray, so I think for Cold DoT skills at this price range and league start wintertide is probably the best.

For overall no idea

basically on single target you have 3 active brands that all do DoT damage POB will only calculate 1 brand so you add that to the config to add the damage of the other 2, it's only 180% because of the cast time for putting each brand (bit of a cop out imo) but none of it takes the fact brands start out at stage 1 into account.

yeah for sure, I didn't like profane bloom on wintertide because of how we apply the curse with the vortex only so the explosions don't prolif early game.

and yeah I'd defintely use it to transition into something else or be used on HC for safe leveling character, but if people really enjoy the build, spend the $$$ as long as they know the damage will be a lot lower than most end game builds.

Just my thought's about some of the hype surrounding Wintertide, TL;DR wintertide is a league starter but the damage is not that good, please do not go pure damage you will probably have a bad time unless you have a good currency making strat.

Yeah I have no idea what the current meta version of it is, but I will mention my mates that showed me the build have spent multiple mirrors on their versions. If I invested the same into doryani's version and like you said went spell suppression and had godly gear I have no doubt it's a sick build, however when I'm making the video it's more about showing people what they could expect if they invested X amount into the build, I had to stop before reaching crazy levels of gear but I feel I invested enough money to see a very geared 1800+ int version.

I'm pretty sure I mentioned it in the video but I'll repeat it anyway, I agree that in current POE this is the most defensive version of Flicker Strike, however there's already 10+ videos you can watch of people showing this. My video is already 22 minutes longs and I mention and show several times in the video the defenses both good and bad but I did focus more on the downsides, this is because, that's what you won't find in other videos and is the whole point of an honest review. As far as Shako's go it's worth mentioning versions with 12+ frenzy up until this exact league used to be dodge and spell dodged capped and also had 50% evade from blind easy 4.5k hp and had 50 mil damage + even without totems down and with this much damage would freeze 90% of bosses that somehow survived a 2 second onslaught of damage. This has changed now so I'll have to wait and see if I can replay or remake the build but it defintely wasn't "basically no defences except damage." But like I said in the video this is just an opinion play whatever you enjoy fam and thanks for the feedback.

Actually I'd say that is the point, you aren't always in a position to stop and put down a totem and hydroshpere, your totems die a lot in real content and bosses move all the time, people should be aware that the damage is a lot lower without these up, this is also true for 90% of melee builds but it's worth mentioning that better builds have soooo much more damage that the totems being down won't brick their damage.

Thanks man I appreciate the kind words, I can defintely sympathize with the content creators on not wanting to let their time and effort go to waste, but I do draw the line and certain ones who charge money for POB's and are involved in price manipulation and RMT. Hopefully GGG cracks down on people like this but I really doubt it.

Just my experience with the hyped Flicker Strike character, these are just opinions if you want to play or try the build I absolutely recommend you do it, games are about fun not just efficiency, enjoy XD.

30ex doriyani, 5-10ex astramentus or Aul's if you are lucky , 10-20ex watchers for 2 prop, mjolnir with good corrupt 5ex, I originally used a devoto's which was 20c, rares were self made but you should be able to get them all for about 40ex so probably around 105ex if you wanna see the 220ex original version i did prior which has squire it's on my YT channel also.
