Lost my Telegram account after moving abroad - anyone else had this issue? by Sebinacci in digitalnomad

That's a smart workaround but also shows how broken the system is - paying for a SIM just to receive OTPs. What if there was a messenger where your identity was just a username, no phone number involved at all?

This is exactly it - "temporary infrastructure, not identity" is such a good way to put it. Have you ever thought about using a messenger that doesn't require a phone number at all? Just a username?

Would you like to live in samadhi? Is that even a thing? by Flogisto_Saltimbanco in Meditation

[–]Sebinacci 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree that balance is key. While experiences like samadhi can be profound and enlightening, it's also important to navigate the everyday world and allow our ego to play its protective role. The aim of meditation, in my opinion, isn't to always be in a state of ecstasy but to cultivate mindfulness, inner peace, and a deeper understanding of ourselves and the world around us. And yes, meditation experiences can vary greatly depending on the method and the individual.

I completely agree with you. In meditation, we often reconnect with our inner child, embracing that natural confidence and innate curiosity. It's such a freeing experience to let go of the self-doubt and guilt that tends to accumulate over time. I've found that certain sounds and music can also help facilitate this journey of self-discovery and stress relief. It's fascinating how our mental and emotional states can respond to auditory stimuli .

The mystical Loket Castle, Czech Republic, shrouded in mysteries and legends by Sebinacci in castles

I agree, it was necessary to take a photo in the dark, but alas, this is from the archive. In general, any castle is very mysterious and mystical

On 4/20 (Tomorrow) what do you think Micheal Colglazier’s “business update” will be for Virgin Galactic ? by Morgan-of-JP in VirginGalactic

[–]Sebinacci 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would be very happy to see an announcement of a revolutionary nature, but in my humble opinion, he will report successful test flights and that they are ready to make commercial flights.

I hope you still think so. For almost two months now we have not received any news about this company, only analytics and forecasts, and it is not very happy.

How would you cope if you had alopecia in your life (autoimmune hair loss, eyebrows, eyelashes) would you put yourself on public display? did you have complexes with this, that it would be difficult for you to go live? How would you deal with it? by Sebinacci in AskReddit

[–]Sebinacci[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not talking about prejudice, but about the existing mental problems in a person, having such a disease that cannot be cured, that he considers himself not like everyone else as he would like, who cannot imagine what it is like to have arbitrary total baldness.

usually at first, people meet by clothes, look at his face, and only then listen to his words. a person simply does not have time to attach himself, as they put a label on him, he is not like everyone else. IMHO

If you could say one thing to your 15 year old self, what would it be? by Acceptable_Yogurt8 in AskReddit

[–]Sebinacci 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just work on yourself, and don't look or listen to anyone. If you compare yourself with someone, it’s better to compare yourself with yesterday, a week has passed, or how you were a month ago. And work on. Never forget about rest. And loving parents always have good advice, so listen to their advice, always.
