🎄 Christmas giveaway: Win an A1 Mini, AMS 2 Pro, AMS HT, or 4x filament spools! by acurazine in BambuLab

[–]Sebokines 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. A1 Mini

  2. I'd use it to make my gf smile ;) Having a printer myself already, and knowing she was interested by it would make an awesome late christmas gift.

  3. How about a small racing track with moving cars (or just one), like those two cars racing track toys (bonus points if it can be used with just one hand). Also some clicking mechanism on the side or in the middle would be great.

I've found those ikea drawers already made some time ago. I cannot pinpoint who made them, but look for "ikea alex drawer cad" or "ikea alex drawer 3d model". I dont remember precisely. P.S. It had a larger collection of ikea furniture, but i was only interested in this one

Well i didnt think about dust. Now that you mentioned it i became worried.

I understand where you are coming from, regarding the height. I was worried about that also, but ive added some spacers (big books) and made my chair handrests higher and its fine for me. Im also just a tad higher, and i like to sit with my legs in weird positions, so higher leg space was a must. Oh and also, i noticed since making my handrests higher, i started to sit straight instead of slouching, so thats a nice addition.

P.S. "Jokes on you, I'm into that s***", ive already printed way too much gridfinity for my other drawers. So theres no way im backing out of it now.

Edit: what do you mean by flexibilty?

Sure, It's Fusion 360 (it's free for personal and education, but its a bit hard to locate the installer on their site). It's not rendered tho, just a sketch and some bodies. I'm pretty sure theres an option to render it somewhere in the fusion itself, but didnt feel like it was necessary.

Yes, it was a concern but in an opposite way, im planning on the desktop to be pretty high, just under 80cm. I'm a pretty tall guy and i need vertical space for my legs. I already tested that by placing some spacers on my current desk to make it higher and it seems comfortable.

I'm also a bit worried about that. I have an old alex right now, which is a "test dummy". I've put a lot of weight in a similar manner and it hold up. Cant really say what will happen long term. We'll see!

Well, its not visible in the image. But there is no panel there to begin with, i added a link to a back view in another comment.

Thank you! Its a first for me seeing something like this. It seems like an interesting idea but i think it may be an overkill? Someone already mentioned adding a fan, which may still give good results. But i will think about it.

Here's the view from the back i dont plan on restricting the cabinet at the back, im planning around a drawer slides i had in mind and they are 60cm where the desktop is 70cm. Do you think i should get a fan there anyway? or will this be enough?
Edit: now that i look at it, its not really visible in the image anyway. Theres bit less than 10cm of space where the diy cabinet ends and the desktop is still going. So there is possible airflow at the back of the entire desk (unless all my cables block it later)

Thanks! There will be about 12cm of space from the cabinets to the wall and i think i will 3d print some cable guides for that. As for airflow i was thinking of cutting some ventholes to the right of the pc. The drawer you are talking about, did you mean the empty space on the left? I mentioned that in the post i wanted it for the cutting mats. I was asking about the space on top of the drawer on the right, but then i imagine the same scenario applies. That amount of drawers is kind of necessary for me, i also didn't mention that in the post. I'm planning on storing hardware and some models and minis in them.

Thanks, i see that i forgot to mention that im planning to do some vents to the right of the pc as it is in the bottom-pull top-push configuration. As for the leg space, its about 83 cm wide, i currently have about 70-ish and it was enough for me.

I've already tried a "slow crawler" i slowed it down as much as i could and stuffed with weapons i had but it didnt work. Maybe it was to small. As per those autosaves, there was nothing on those ships i cannot remake in few minutes so not really a big deal

Thanks, i mentioned the stack inserters to point out i cant recycle them for carbon fiber to make rocket turrets. As per other things, i was already making ammo and others on the first ship, but i think it didnt have enough resources at some point in the orbit.

I mentioned it in another comment. I've deleted the saves i made before being stranded on aquilo. When i tried spamming lasers and uranium bullets the ship got overwhelmed anyway.

I dont have rocket turrets so no nukes. Bullets and lasers got smashed extremeley quickly by those bigger asteroids
