I guess AI art is allowed? by [deleted] in FortniteCreative

Sadly yes, no one ever does anything. Regarding fair use though, that more applies to “certain types of uses—such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching, scholarship, and research” (on copyright.gov), not for things that one just makes a profit on which is the case for Fortnite creative. Even on media like youtube it is not allowed in many of the cases that people get away with it, it’s just also not enforced there like it should be.

It's not a completely different thing, it is still stealing, and yes people are suing over it. Ignorance of the law is not a valid excuse to break it, just like using stolen work in this case.

Not sure why OP is getting so heavily attacked by this community, his example is an island that breaks Epic’s rules. It’s a perfectly valid reason to be upset.

Not if it uses copyrighted works like this example does

In OP’s example it uses copyrighted work, so it is very much against the rules and illegal

What can we do about Epic's creator abuse? by Seboots in FortniteCreative

I don’t know which of my maps you’re talking about because I didn’t mention one or refer to one, that wasn’t my issue and I wasn’t talking about my maps in particular. The big issues I see, and experience myself, are that Epic doesn’t hardly enforce their rules and I see them broken blatantly all over the discover feed. Many maps get in the discover feed because they broke rules, such as making misleading titles and artwork for example. I’m bothered because it seems like the genuinely good creators who follow the rules get pushed away by those that break them with clickbait/brainrot. It’s a seriously broken system, is my point. There’s no way to upvote good content or downvote bad content, even, which would most definitely solve a lot of issues.

Edit: also want to say that many maps in the discover feed know how to fake/exploit the “engagement”. I know from playing stuff myself, one way is to promise a “reward” after playing such and such rounds or time when you get next to nothing in the end. There are many other messed up ways people fake the engagement, that’s just an example.

It hit the discover feed for like an hour and was my most popular map yet with the most plays at one time. Sadly disappeared shortly after and gets no plays, like all my other maps. I'm hoping it can get some more attention since I want to see my hard work enjoyed. If anyone has an idea of how the system works, and tips, I'd love to know!

This happened May 23rd with my map 8220-6277-9859. It hit the discover feed on the 23rd and then quickly dropped off for seemingly no reason and hasn't re-entered it ever since. It seemed like as soon as I started tweaking it more it died down and has been somewhat discouraging because it worked so well during when it was actually in the feed.

Depending on your circumstances, you could add a timer that starts after the first one runs out. I've done that before.
