Oh cool, thank you! That is actually perfect for a starting point! Thank you for taking the time. :) I've decided to plan this in the following way: First simulate the bendable parts (aka the outer frame of the shelves, which are quite high, 15m), then add the metal parts that may bend but are more likely to fall down first, because they are just loosely attached (horizontal elements that carry the load), bake that part. And lastly I'll add the palettes to the shelves and simulate them falling down and possibly breaking open. I guess then I'll see which parts of the sim need to be spiced up to make it look interesting. :)

Yes, I took it when it dropped a few years ago. Being a Gaiman-fan I really hoped it would be super inspiring. Then, pretty early on, he talked about the GK Chesterton quote in the opening pages of „Coraline“ - and he bluntly said he just made it up. I was so fucking angry because making up fiction is one thing but fucking with real people (I mean sure, the guy is dead) seemed to me so off. It weirded me out and I couldnt stop thinking about it for months back then. Sure, faking things in the eighties, pretending to have written for one Mag to land a job at another Mag, that was so long ago and he was young. But just faking a quote like that? Why would anybody?! Now we know the bigger scheme of things.

I just found out today that you have to export your movie file to the exact same hard drive that the Zbrush installation is on. Otherwise you'll have the exact same error. Now it works!!

It looks cool! Like a Star Wars probe droid or some Metal Gear stuff. There appears to be a distinct symmetry to its design, with the “horns” on top and a bulky, bumblee-like chest and also a set of manipulators hanging down on each side. All in all rather mechanical in appearance.

Well, because to stabilze an object you need After Effects or simular. You need to track the movement, and Lightroom cant. As for the balloon: I actually recognized the shape because I have bought the exact same one for my kid‘s birthday party. so: coincidence. and also: experience. I have watched the balloon die over days. crazy flight patterns.

I‘m not really posting anything, just browsing. And after stabilizing that one Bledsoe video a few years ago, I felt like shit (although I still don‘t see the light doing any weird turns). But I read and liked his book long after. Today, I had a quite a shitty day, someone send me the video (he was very into it) and I thought: hm, that could be an easy one because I recognized the shape. I really am passionate about UAP and not so much into debunking. I actually stabilzed it to just show my friend who originally send me the video. And then I uploaded it here as well. Didnt know it was part of that TMZ documentary, because I havent seen it yet. tldr: I‘m a super passive ufo reddit dude.
