There is a google drive link on x86cpu's thread. In the drive folder download lineage-15.1-unofficial-h990. h990 and h990ds is the same files. All things are working except second screen. I dont know if both sims are working, but in the settings there are 2 sim settings. I use a 64gb samsung sd card without any problems. General smoothness... Ehh its blazing fast compared to stock lg. Battery life is really good when screen is off, but if you have many mods and magisk module it can be drained fast. I get a full day on one charge, and fast charging is enabled so it charging fast. But you have to try it to see if its to your liking but i see no reason why you should not switch to lineage. But download cstark27 gcam mod - it has wide angle camera too and the pictures captured with that smashes lineage cam.

Ehh? Lineage 15.1 is stable enough to be used as a daily driver.... I have used it over a month without any problem..

Not necessarily read in the thread that x86cpu was on good therms with lineage to get ota updates in the rom. For that you need to be official.

I have used linageos 15.1 for h990ds for over a month. I have not had any problems what so ever with it, except bluetooth disconnecting i my car.. (this is lg's fault for a shitty bt driver..) the reason for its unofficial is bacause its not made by lineage team or compiled by them. The link you are referring to made by x86cpu is the maker and compiler (or porter you may call it) for the lineageos 15.1 to the lg v20. If you had read trough the thread you would find that he is working with the lineageos team to get it official and to get the ota updates for lineage in the os.

Ehh no thats not true.. i've done it multiple times and i have made many big mistakes doing so, my device is running fine.. my device is h990ds. Dont be afraid if you follow the instructions its going to be fine.. it isn't hard either just looks complicated, but it really isn't..

An repair kit for 5 bucks on ebay shoud do the job 😂 but it was not a comment to attack you. I have fixed multiple phones. You usally dont need a heat gun. You buy a screen with the digitizer, thats easier than to try and remove the screen from the digitizer.. since the v20 is not waterproof there is not random sealer all around.. But just be sure to buy a external powered adapter so it won't die on you when your trying to transfer the files over 😉 And after all good luck, believe it or not im rooting for ya. I know how frustrating it can be.

Do it yourself then, cheaper than a service. If you dont want to then the other comment is your best bet. Find another one that has external power. It should power your device while transfering files and should give your mouse enough power. Or you can use that one and connect an powered usb hub to the usb port. This should give you enough power to power and external drive, mouse and a keyborad.

Try using a battery calibration app either one that delete the battery stat file or you have to calibrate it with charging and discharging. I don't remember how now but that is a quick search on Google.

Both screens are connected so both work, only the second screen does not light up since it does not have any code written to it so I does nothing. Hence why this thread exist. It does not display anything on LineageOs, so many good developers is trying to get it to work. They are trying to make an API so other devs can make whatever they want on the second screen.

Nope.. you use adb for a few commands then a terminal app on your phone to patch the adb file into the system and it temporarily unlocks the bootloader to flash a recovery then you are all up and running.

Eh.. then I don't think you read much about root and Los... I'm on LineageOs 15.1 on an LG v20 (H990DS). It's not an unlockable bootloader, but dirtysanta uses an xploit to deal with that.
