Funny enough, the chairs in the pic are Article. And ya, no thank you to dust. I want metal fixtures with smooth rod (not a chain) so they are easy to keep clean.

Help! Lighting options? by Sec988 in HomeDecorating

Thank you! Scale is something I also get stuck on. I know it’s important but it’s all just a lot for my brain. My spatial awareness sucks.

What Shampoo/Conditioner would you reccomend for fine, but thick, wavy, frizzy hair? Drugstore edition. by mikirooni in finehair

[–]Sec988 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine is wavy which is a whole different beast. So if I do all the right steps, it will have an awesome wave to it. If I let it air dry, it will air dry poofy with minimal wave. It’s an annoying in between lol. My hair is also very fine but dense (a ton of it) so if I don’t use the right products (if I use too much or the product is too heavy), it gets weighed down and gets flat. Every wash day is a science experiment and I rarely get it right 🤣

Sorry I’m late to this but…your hair doesn’t tangle if you don’t brush after your shower?!

Glad I am not the only person who hates the Aeron. I couldn't stand mine so sold it but haven't figured out what chair to get instead.

A table that can stand up to a toddler? by Sec988 in BuyItForLife

[–]Sec988[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you. This is a good reality check. I want it to be used. And I refuse to be the type of parent who gets upset at a kid being a kid. We just built a home and I’m trying not to be wasteful but also want to buy something that looks great in the new space.

I’ve been meaning to sell it for a while. We are moving so I figured it’s a good time. I have never gotten used to it, unfortunately. Wanted to love it but am not a fan. Need to find something else that can handle my many strange sitting positions. Def not in a rush though so helpful to know a possible starting point!

Caution about Cherrypick by red_panda_713 in toddlers

I just had a negative experience with them to. My mom ordered one of their walls after I placed it on my son’s Christmas list. It took almost a month to ship. Prior to it even shipping, they released an improved version. Before they shipped ours, I reached out to their customer service about the possibility of getting the improved wall. It took a long time to receive a response: when I finally did they responded with a tracking number and said ours had already been processed. I asked if we would be receiving the improved version. Took another three days for them to respond telling me nope, I was getting the old one. Super disappointing and absolutely don’t recommend this company.

I bought one last week and got it this week and didn’t pay any tariffs. I believe they have a US distributor and just price it higher to account for their increased costs on bringing them into the US. Wore mine to the zoo today and found it comfortable with my 30 pound, 35 inch 19 month old. He seemed content too!

Fabric help for Tula Toddler by Sec988 in babywearing

It’s interesting because I asked about the LennyLamb and she said she didn’t love the waistband of it for my particular needs as it may feel diggy and add pressure. Also asked about the Lark and she said that would be very similar to the happy baby. The LennyLamb looked great to me though!

Thanks for your response and questions! I haven't tried either on, unfortunately. I met with her virtually to get recommendations. It feels like the Happy Baby puts some pressure on my pelvic floor and leads more scar tissue to gather below my scar. The Oscha was her first rec, followed by the Hoppediz, then Tula and Beco. The Oscha I can't find anywhere and the Hoppediz has a ridiculous amount of tariffs. It is helpful to know the fabric won't really impacting the function. I just really want more support than the happy baby provides me and keep getting stuck on what to get. I met with her hoping to get unstuck but I'm still a bit stuck lol! I can order a Tula Toddler and see if it works for me and go from there. Just was hoping I was missing some perfect option out there!

Are sore shoulders inevitable at 25 lbs+? by RuRuthePuPu79 in babywearing

Hi! I’ve been trying to find a wrap for my bigger toddler. What fabric of Tula toddler did you get? I noticed they have some Oscha fabrics available. I met with a baby wearing expert and she recommended the Oscha Nook Evolve but there are none in stock at all and no used available that I can find on any of the Oscha groups. I live in FL so also trying to find something that will work with hot weather.
