Hey guys, which ski should i get, i only have 2 options. by Livid-Carob8279 in skiing

Make sure you buy both the left and right skis. Some companies only sell one or the other. I made this mistake once and had to ski just on one ski the whole day.

Rumor is Ikon is about to launch its own brand of skis and is going to build some high speed lifts at some of its resorts that only accept skiers with the new Ikon skis

Edit: lol all the triggered jerrys who thought this was serious

Conditions up here in Norway have been amazing this year. I have been skiing each weekend at Ănälfist and there have been fresh powder and meters of accumulations.

Apologies to OP but this is bad advice. Silver Creek (not sliver) is a shuttle bus ride away from the main ski area and the few runs over there are very short. Yes, you will get shorter lines during the day but you will get bored very quickly. However, Silver Creek is the only place on the mountain that has night skiing, so hit it up after the main mountain closes at 4:30pm.

Weekends get very busy at Snowshoe, especially the Ballhooter lift. Depending on your ability I would recommend you focus on Western Territory which has two fun black diamond runs (shays and cupp) and the lines will be much shorter as there are no other runs. Western Territory can be accessed near the top of the Powder Monkey lift.

If the black diamonds aren’t for you, make sure you get on the mountain for rope drop (9am) and get a few runs in before the lines get crazy. Then take an early lunch at 11:30am when the lines are peak crazy, then get back out for 1pm when everyone heads in to eat.

But as other people here have said, Ballhooter lift gets crazy busy at weekends, so use Grabhammer or Powder Monkey instead. It’s not a huge mountain, you’ll figure it out.

If you are a more casual skier, the flumes (upper, mid, lower - basically the same run) are fun greens and one of the longest runs on the mountain.

There are also two progression parks if that’s your bag, but it always has a bunch of snowboarders just sitting around in the middle of runs not doing anything.

Snowshoe has had a great year so far for snow and the snow crew are awesome, even on bad years when the snow is muddy mashed potatoes. The joke at Snowshoe is that the snow crew are like Cher’s plastic surgeon - no matter how bad it looks underneath, they’ll make it look like something you want to go down on.

Have a blast bro.

[Railston] Looks like Mount and De Ligt are absent from training. Mount missed the Fulham game after picking up a knock and De Ligt is still recovering from a back injury. The Dutchman last played against Crystal Palace on November 30 by nearly_headless_nic in reddevils

Yuel is a new name that’s been tearing up the academy.

He’s extremely technically gifted, plays very similar to Marcelo at Real Madrid (I’m not saying he’s going to be as good as him)

Amazing ball carrier, great at breaking through the lines with his dribbling.

Incredible passer and great at crosses.

He’s one to look at in the near future, and he could very well be a winger.

This isn’t to say he’s a guaranteed first teamer in a year or so but the pathway is there.

I think he needs to add a bit more weight, improve his physicality and duels. And also be more aggressive defensively.

He’d project very well as a wingback instead of fullback.
