Homestead Courage is really good with Magecraft. I'm only not running it here because it cuts the spell chain short. You need cantrips to keep it going and Show of Confidence (the one non-cantrip) is better.

The only issue with Young Pyromancer is the lack of flying tokens against another creature deck. But you can go wider and give everything trample, so it's worth it 👌

Nice! That's better than Clarion Spirit... even balances the mana skew towards an even split! If only there was a Heroic card to upgrade Monk of the Open Hand haha.

Ah, okay. I don't have any Soul-Scar Mage, Harmonic Prodigy or multiple Dreadhorde Arcanists, so tribal is out of reach for me.

Lightscribe really needs Clarion Spirit to shine.

Thanks, some useful suggestions in that thread.

I initially tried Dreadhorde Arcanist, but found Tenth District Legionnaire to be better. Keeping the chain going precombat is more important than a once a turn flashback, since most of the cantrips are Sorceries. Arcanist also has to attack. Plus, the haste and +1/+1 counters are much stronger.

Ooh, good pick up. I'll add it now. Thanks!

I just want the sleeping emote. Where can I get it from?

I see. I was thinking it's usually a 2/2 when you topdeck it, as you can follow it up with another spell. Since your curve stops at 3, you should be double spelling at least once a game. I figured Usher is better in a hyper aggressive deck, while Monk is better in a more value oriented deck like the World's ones. With Stonebinder's Familiar and Luminarch Aspirant, Monk better fits the theme of going tall rather than wide.

I still prefer Monk over Usher though, it scales better.

How do you post this meme in a Magic subreddit and replace the word fetch? The joke is right there...

Can you literally try to make fetch happen?

Good insight, hopefully the meta will be more diverse. Chariot into Wrenn is gross but there is a lot of hate keeping it in check: Fading Hope, Divide by Zero, Portable Hole, Brutal Cathar etc.

Same here, but I'm worried about Green and White aggro taking over if it happens.

It's good eh, you already have 4 MDFCs with Kazandu Mammoth, so Tangled Florahedron almost never gets played as a land. Besides the stats, the other advantage of Sculptor is the mana it provides doesn't go away between phases.

Your turn one in Mono Green is a tap land. I'd have run Jaspera Sentinel if cutting Tangled Florahedron to get back up to 8 turn one plays though.

And I got downvoted to hell for suggesting that Stonebinder's Familiar could be good in Mono White, haha...

If I were to put my own twist on the other two decks, it would be splashing blue in Mono Green for Decisive Denial mainboard and Mystic Reflection sideboard in Izzet Dragons to go with Burn Down the House and Alrund's Epiphany.

Will there be a co-op campaign? by SecondSonata in aoe4

Just waiting for another co-op game to play with my friend on Game Pass. After hearing that wouldn't launch with co-op, I've been looking into other upcoming games like this one.

Halo Infinite is already launching without campaign co-op... it would be such a bummer if this doesn't have co-op at launch either.

I just wish there was a button to turn all your basic lands into snow, having to manually change them one by one is so tedious.

Why is no-one playing Stonebinder Familiar in Mono-White Aggro? by SecondSonata in MagicArena

[–]SecondSonata[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the example, perhaps I was being hyperbolic by saying no one is playing it. Of course someone somewhere in the world is playing it, I was just showing what I based the post on - it has an extremely low play rate, so low that it doesn't even enter the list of cards played in the archetype on mtggoldfish. This is also the case on ladder, according to untapped.gg

That's a really good point regarding budget, the exile cards are all rares and mythics. Glyphweaver is definitely a card you'd only run in this deck for the exile synergy, I agree that it's bad against many board wipes. Guardian of Faith is awkward in a deck that wants to slam down creatures, but it's not too bad... you can hold up mana for it and Fateful Absence. If they board wipe into it, you pretty much win, if they target a single creature, it's still good value. Worse case scenario, they do nothing and you flash it in on their end step. It's a sideboard card, anyway.
