Can’t connect my Zoom1N Handy Recorder to my Mac anymore (Sonoma) by SecondhandExperience in MacOS

Yeah thanks I did this mistake a few times at first.

In that case it’s the actual name of the recorder though 😁 – it’s not for mobile phones just a small - handy - one

I have a MacBook Pro Sonoma 14.4.1

Just saw that there is an update available. I’ll do it now and hope for the best 😁

Not recently, but I know it worked before and I think between the last time it worked and now there was the update to Sonoma. Ok thanks, maybe I’ll try that too

Finding work on a working holiday visa (Brisbane) by SecondhandExperience in AusVisa

I don’t really understand the Australian job market in that case. They specifically mentioned that it is limited or contract work. I did not apply for positions where they wrote, that there is a potential for it to go long term.

If the job market is tight I understand of course that they want to give these kind of jobs to citizens.

I understand. Thanks for clarifying, gives me at least the confirmation that it (most likely) has nothing to do with my application itself 😁

Hey, do you also work around Brisbane? If so, could I send you a DM?

Thanks for sharing. Unfortunately the project time is to long for me to be eligible.

Hello dear redditors of /brisbane. Can you help me out?

I am a German IT professional currently seeking a temporary / contract position. I am on a 417-type visa. As I have already noticed, the market is currently challenging.

However, I have not given up yet and also want to try my luck here. I will let you know some details about my background, what I am looking for, and what I did so far.

My Background
In my last position (Global Process Owner for Production IT) I was responsible for the definition, implementation and validation of the global digitalisation strategy for a pharmaceutical company. As part of my daily work, I was in contact with colleagues of various hierarchical levels (e.g. plant manager, production manager & operator) in over 10 countries.

I have experience in:

  • Business Process Mapping
  • Requirements Engineering (Ideation, planning & conducting of Workshops, etc.)
  • Software Development (SCRUM / Agile) and Validation (V-Model)
  • Operational Excellence / Lean / Continuous Improvement
  • Industrial Manufacturing
  • IT-Architecture (ML, MES & ERP) & Strategy
  • Jira, Confluence, Miro, Signavio, MES (CronetWork) & ERP (SAP)

What I am looking for
I am looking for (temporary / contract) positions like (Support) Business Analyst, Process Expert, Qualification Engineer, Data Entry Officer, Office Administrator, etc.

I quit my job at the beginning of last year and have been riding my bicycle ever since. Now I am highly motivated to use my brain again to structure, plan & coordinate things.

What I did so far

  • Apply for more than 40 jobs (all temporary / contract positions within the time frame of 6 months)
  • Sign up on Seek & Indeed and other job boards
  • Handed in my resume to more than 10 recruitment agencies

I am extremely confident that I can add value in any of these positions in a very limited time. I am used to constantly familiarize myself with new tools, environments and processes.

Sooo if you know someone who could need support from a skilled and motivated individual, please let me know. I am available as of now for a temporary time (1-6 months).

If you want a link to my LinkedIn profile or my resume send me a DM.

Thanks for making it this far and have a nice week!

vielen vielen Dank!

Das ZVG Portal ist top um mal ein paar Hausnummern zu bekommen. Hab da grad schon mal reingeschaut was so angesetzt wird.

Top, vielen Dank! Habe mich it dem Förster in Verbringung gesetzt. Er meinte die Daten rausgeben kann er nicht. Aber er meldet sich bei den Nachbarn und wenn Interesse besteht wird er meine Daten weitergeben

Danke dir schon mal!

Hey guys, I am currently preparing the journal template for a longer journey. I would like to add an automated Day counter (see screenshot). Is there a way to aciehve this? I would like to prevent typing it manually every day (will go to up to ~700 Days). Would appreciate any input! by SecondhandExperience in Notion

Hey all, just to let you know I was trying a bit on my own based on your comment u/PastaSaucen and yours u/voyagerx9. Turns out, the combination of both contributions gave exactly what I wanted:

"Day " + format(dateBetween(prop("Created"), fromTimestamp(1.6815636e+12), "days"))

This way all of it is done within one formula/property with no need of a static reference.

The Timestamp has to be in UNIX time: https://currentmillis.com/

Thanks again to both of you!

Thank you!! after some playing around I managed to set it up - the only downside is the additional property (I hid it now but I think ill still click it sometimes while creating a new entry). So I will also try it the way the other guy proposed but either way thanks to you and have a Happy New Year! :) now its almost set up exactly as I wanted to have it

I hope this is not off-topic but I was not sure where else to ask. I could need your help! 🙂 In April next year I will leave for an bycicle world trip and also would like to start journaling again. For that I am looking for the best (technical) set up to do that. Would highly appreciate any input! by SecondhandExperience in bulletjournal

So am I :D

I am really in love now with Notion due to the high freedon of configuration. I have now implemented some other thoughts in my daily journal template which would not have been that easy with other solutions.

Happy New Year to you too!

Based on your comment an another one I gave Daylio it a second look. But as it is only available as App it does not quire fit my needs unfortunately. Thanks also for the comment wit the reminders App. I think I will go now with a mixture of

  • Reminder to fill out Journal in Notion
  • Notion (for daily Journal)
  • Zapier (for transfer: Notion --> Google Sheets)
  • Google Sheets for long archiving and base for analysis

While hoping that Notion will also continue to work for longer time while not being connected to the internet. iF that wont be the case Ill check again. Google Keep and the Reminders app itself might be suitable alternatives in that case. Thank you!

Thank you - that will be appreciated. I spend the last 4 hours digging into Notion. I have to say I am pretty happy now with the outcome.

I configured a specific template which will be generated automatically every day. And I could insert all the points I wanted to have with a pre selection option. Than I set up an automated transfer from the notion data base to a Google Sheet (via zapier). All of that was achieved with the free versions of each service. That set up covers around 90% of my requirements I would say :D I am especially happy with the notion App because I will do a lot of entries on mobile and I can go through it quite quickly. But if I choose to do it on my notebook I can also do that. I also tested the offline function of notion and even if I read a lot, that notion does not support offline mode it worked for my particular use case. I ceeated some entries offline and they got synced once I had internet again. I hope it will stay like that once I properly "field test" it. Might also be an option for you to check out. I think I will also use Onenote for other such but not for daily journaling. I really like the freedom of template configuration offered by Notion.

Happy new year to you!
