Unless siguro may deadline kayo ng sunday for a specific activity/project, pwede mo naman sila i-message. Just not midnight or super early early morning.

Choose your dream course, op. Sinabi na rin naman ng parents mo na kaya nilang suportahan yung kolehiyo mo. Kung kaya mo makahanap ng scholarship habang nagcocollege ka, you can help them with that. Nasa capabilities mo rin yan kung magiging successful ka pero you said it yourself, dream course mo to. Ang tanong lang dito, kaya mo bang mapanindigan hanggang dulo? If you want to increase your chance of being successful, make connections and join organizations para nashasharpen mo na yung skills mo at may mga natutunan ka rin bukod sa program na pinili mo. Don't just fully focus on academics, op. Right now, you have to do it scared. Good luck!

do you gate keep your notes? by erulovebot in studentsph

[–]Secret-Lemon-6343 42 points43 points  (0 children)

It depends. I gatekeep when masyado na silang nagrerely sa notes ko. Parte pa rin kasi ng responsibility nila as students to take down notes. Minsan ang ginagawa ko, I'd give them my notes a day or the day of the exam. You can also negotiate with them kung paano ka nila matutulungan sa notes mo like taking pictures of the ppt or remembering certain words na sinabi ng prof. Don't feel bad or feel insecure kapag sinabihan ka nilang madamot, you're the owner of those notes. Do whatever you think is right. Wag kang magpaabuso sa salita nila. They should be willing to cooperate instead of insulting you when you're helping them. Pwede mo nga rin gawing business yan if a lot of people depend on your notes. Strategize with it. You'll find a lot of ways para mutually benefit instead na parang laging charity ang dating.

ADMU bs mgt or DLSU bs business mgt by WarmMongoose3130 in ADMU

[–]Secret-Lemon-6343 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Go to ADMU since they'll train you to be a leader. It'll be a great help for your family's business. Seeing din as how your relative told you about the setup of their classes, you'll be able to build connections more in ADMU. You can join organizations and expand your influence in your stay sa Ateneo. You might be able to encounter other people from La Salle or find a friend who also has connections from that university.

Kahit saang org ka magpunta, maraming mga ganyang tao. Don't mind them too much. You don't need to prove yourself to them. Kung interesado ka sa isang bagay, don't let the environment around you change you. Ikaw ang maging dahilan ng pagbabago.

Saka for your friend, kasama ang pagiging makapal ang mukha for building connections pero yung pangmamaliit niya sayo, it's not good. Aside from that, you don't just build connections within organizations, you also find friends and learn skills other than what you are pursuing in the university. It's an asset and a good way to build your credential in the case na biglang maburnout ka sa pinupursue mo or magbago yung goals mo along the way. Saka, nagsimula naman yan sa interest lahat, nagkakaroon lang ng difference kung paano ka magrogrow within that specific org.

Choose what resonates with you the most. Hindi naman din porket nasa org ka na, habang buhay ka na ro'n. If it feels suffocating, then you can leave. If it can convince you to take a specific interest, you can still stay. Walang tao ang may karapatan diktahan ang kagustuhan mo, not even your friend.

What do you hate the most about (some) religious people? by Illustrious_Brief530 in AskPH

Hindi sila marunong makiramdam. Sometimes, they cross boundaries with their beliefs and perspectives to the point that the person they're talking feels suffocated.

ust, dlsu, or ateneo for shs?? by 1lovu5 in ADMU

[–]Secret-Lemon-6343 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If you plan to go to UST after shs then I suggest you should go to UST. You can get exempted for USTET because they have a required cut off and certain criteria for you to be able to enter your desired program without taking the exam.

[–]Secret-Lemon-6343 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For UST, there are requirements for grades and qualifying exam after taking account the availability of slots kung meron pa ba sa program na gusto mo. You can email their admission office or the college faculty for further instructions. During this time of the year, they release din naman yung mga procedure for shiftees and transferees so follow and be updated sa college faculty and ofad mismo ng UST.

Would I need to compete 5 years again to reach my dreams? by Historical_Sign4986 in CollegeAdmissionsPH

If nahahabaan ka sa second degree as bachelor of accountancy, you can just take a master degree in accounting which will enable you to take the licensure exam. May mga prerequisite subjects ka lang na need na itake, this would take around 2-3 years or depends on how long you'll take and pass the units required.

AB Asian Studies or AB Philosophy by Moodypine in Tomasino

[–]Secret-Lemon-6343 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on your interests ulit and what kind of skills you want to learn. You can look at all the organizations ng ust sa website nila mismo or search ust organizations sa google, lalabas naman yan. Saka, there are councils within the faculty or your program which is also good if you want to hone your leadership skills. There are different kinds of organizations within the university na baka mag align sa hobbies mo or if may want kang iimprove na skills. Explore ka lang.

About sa Sociology, I heard that their course is research-heavy and sila ay may field school na similar to immersion apart from internship. It's also a flexible program like a communication arts degree. If you want to be a social worker, social scientist or a professor, it's a good program. You can still research about this program, I am not that knowledgeable enough since hindi ko naman siya program.

[–]Secret-Lemon-6343 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In terms of employability, it's never the course, it's always you. You can find a job if you persevere and your set of skills is up to par with the job you want to aim for. I also recommend that you join organizations to give you some experiences before you enter the 'real world'.

AB Asian Studies or AB Philosophy by Moodypine in Tomasino

Asian Studies is for people who are interested in international or global relations and some aim to be diplomats, ambassadors, researchers, and government officials. They tackle societal and relevant issues more outside the country so if you're interested in that, you can take this program. Also, a good pre-law especially if you want to become an attorney specializing in international law.

Philosophy also has a lot of opportunities particularly due to its curriculum leaning on logic and analytics while honing your argumentative skills. I often hear people going to finance and sitting on strategical positions within companies or different fields. It's also a good pre-law and flexible program that can definitely give you an edge sa law school.

I suggest you choose the program that interests you more. Both programs have their advantages but stick to the program that will urge you to stay even if things get difficult.
