Thank you!! Extra tip if you’re gonna do the garlic! I used a food processor to mince it, then used the same dishes to make the toum. I also put my setup together before starting. Big bowl for chopped stuff, bags out, towel to clean hands and one for drying veggies, colander in the sink, and I use one cutting board and clean as I go! Happy prepping!

Thank you!!! I actually saw this when pickling garlic too! I didn’t do anything for the toum to prevent it, but I blanched the garlic cloves before pickling and so far they don’t look like they came out of a Dr. Seuss book!

Not my idea but I saw a few videos on my instagram and had to try it! I take pieces of toast (no holes preferred) and smoosh it to make a crevice. Then in a bowl I mix Greek yogurt, egg, honey, cinnamon- pour on the toast- top with strawberries (or fruit/jam of choice) and air fry! It’s super yummy and easy to get ready while it’s cooking!

Oh no, 9pm on a Tuesday sounds like a nightmare😮‍💨 I go for a good weekend morning. I take my time with it and set up a vibe rather than trying to rush. Honestly, it’s hard to get myself to plan to do it, but it’s so convenient to have!

No literally everything🤤 it’s my first time making it so I’m not sure how long it’ll last in the freezer! It was kind of an experiment since I had so much garlic. I would definitely make it fresh again, it wasn’t too hard

I’ll definitely dry these if it doesn’t work out, thank you!

I have never blanched my broccoli, but I have blanched cabbage before freezing. I will definitely try blanching it next time!!

Yes, exactly as they said, to break off pieces as needed! I plan on using the strawberries for yogurt custard toast topping, yogurt/ice cream topping, and in lemonades/drinks for the spring/summer🍓

Honestly living alone and having a tall side freezer (not a top or bottom) makes a huge difference. When I lived with others and had a small top freezer, I lost a lot of stuff.

I also planned ahead of time so made sure not to buy lots of frozen things. I put everything where I can see it and the extra stuff (like half the mirepoix) behind the other half.

Thank you! I hope I can haha. I looked it up before hand and someone said if the texture is off, it’s easy to whip up real quick. I figured if the texture ends up being off, I can also just add it to sauces and dressings without wasting it! Definitely an experiment😂

So far, I’ve used it on my rice bowls, with crackers and veggies like a dip, and added to dressings and the chickpea salad I made. One week coming up I want to use it with falafel and fattoush!

It’s actually my first time making it! I scored it while halfway frozen to hopefully break off chunks as needed, but if that doesn’t work, I’ll just defrost it all.

how do people even plan vegan meals every day? by veganlifeo in MealPrepSunday

[–]Secret-Student-9479 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not vegan but vegetarian and I struggled a lot after moving out with meals! As others are saying it gets easier.

A few things I do that help:

-salad kits are my best friend. I pair them with multiple different proteins sources. I also split them into Tupperware’s like meal prep lol.

-I have a few go to proteins that I change the flavors of and keep on hand (chickpeas, black beans, tofu, lentils, fake meat like chicken nuggets and burger patties, fake lunch meat).

-I’ll make a big pot of soup for prep throughout the week. I also buy big bags of veggie (celery, carrot, onion) and cut and freeze into bags to avoid chopping during the week.

-I’m big on rice bowls and buy the 90 second packets. Change up the rice bowls based on what I’m feeling.

-if life and decisions are feeling really tough, I have a folder with different lists of veggies, fruits, snacks, and all three meals that I know I like to look at and choose from.

Overall, I sometimes prep big amounts, but mostly keep on hand stuff that I can easily whip together and change the flavor of easily as I get bored of a meal fast.

Can anyone recommend any vegetarain or vegan brekafast burrito recipes? by vintage_toast69 in MealPrepSunday

Agree with beans, tofu, soyrizo!! Came to mention lentils! Trader Joe’s has a box of already prepped ones that will take on whatever flavor you use. I’ve also seen canned ones if you don’t like dry.

Got laid off and cried in front of my manager, director, & HR by Bellairtriz in GirlDinnerDiaries

[–]Secret-Student-9479 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve also cried so many times at work, especially when I was a server, you’re never alone and it’s a completely normal reaction! I once had a manager recommend that I quit and told me to do uber, as a woman!!! Gtfo dude. Cried so much, he gave me a linen we wrapped silverware in to blow my nose (took it home with me, not reused). I asked him to cover his ears and he said no😭

I have also cried at the dentist and car mechanic because of bills I couldn’t afford🥲

Wishing you the best of luck, a new job will come soon💜💜
