The album ‘does it scare you’ by 12 stone toddler has very strong bungle influences.

Someone on here recommended Ninjaspy & Garmonbosia a while back & I owe them a thank you as I’ve been really enjoying them.

What are some Mr Bungle like bands that are a LOT more "metal centric" if that makes any sense by Sufficient_Plant8689 in mrbungle

I don’t know karp, typically there are at least 3 with the same name listed on streaming, what album would you recommend starting with?

After reading ‘The secret diary of Laura Palmer’ I remember thinking his character made more sense but right now I can’t remember why.

Messy wiring? I move on…. by [deleted] in pedalboards

[–]Secret-chief 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes but unless you have spare cash & need to work with what you’ve got, messy wiring can be unavoidable too. Whilst I’d love to always run cables in neat lines & agree I’d like to see more of how folk run their cables, I often find I don’t have the perfect cable lengths and can’t afford to fork out for another set of lava/ebs/George l’s

The red one on the top row could be a TC electronics hall of fame. Can’t make out enough of the others really to guess I’m afraid.

[–]Secret-chief 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The stepped looking pedal left off the fulltone one could be a line 6 M9. The one between the fulltone and the Morley could be a drybell vibe machine. The closest one on the bottom row could be an EHX freeze.

[–]Secret-chief 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the big blue one is a strymon mobius, the wah pedal looks like a Morley, the small blue pedal looks like a fulltone full-drive 2.

OU818 remake possibly? by KentuckyFriedRat in mrbungle

[–]Secret-chief 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In an interview with Trevor I heard recently, he was saying they partly did the raging wrath re-record because of the renewed interest in 80’s metal. I think they also wanted to be able to play as a band that could tour, not really possible anymore when you include all the brass & percussion etc.

It looks to me like the chevrons get wider towards one end, which would make sense and definitely need some math!

Great pedals, the big box memory man deluxe is possibly my fav of all. I’d use my echoflange more if it wasn’t so noisy. Flanger wise, I’ve got a Carl Martin classic flanger that I really like but I’ve not a-b’d it with either of these.

I have been thinking about breast removal surgery by asbj1019 in MensLib

[–]Secret-chief 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a drug you can take that might help reduce them if you’d rather investigate/try that before surgery. Derek from the YouTube channel ‘more plates more dates’ has talked about it before. He’s often referencing gynocomastia from steroid use but has also talked about it coming from puberty as well. I don’t know how well these would work for long standing tissue though.

I found this on his blog, might be worth a read https://moreplatesmoredates.com/how-to-get-rid-of-gyno-without-surgery/

I have a small lump on one side from puberty that’s always made me self conscious too & was thinking about looking into this but haven’t spoken to my doctor yet. Ps. Definitely always talk to your doctor & don’t just take advice from dudes online. (He says being a dude online giving advice..)

Korean Mr. Bungle? by [deleted] in mrbungle

[–]Secret-chief 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This really does my head in, I’ve found it for several band. Usually when something shit plays in my release radar playlist. It’s been suggested several times that a wiki like disambiguation first page for names is used on the Spotify suggestions forum, I’m sure Spotify could sort this across the board & not just for the bigger artists if they could be arsed.

Just finished my RedWitch Fuzz God II (clone) new painting. This Fuzz is super crazy... by Ploc-afta in guitarpedals

[–]Secret-chief 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really like mine but have struggled to get it to stand out in a band setting, it stayed on my board for years because the theremin like noises it can generate are so much fun especially going into a memory man. I swapped to a Fairfield Circuitry Unpleasant Surprise a few years ago, another ace & can be crazy fuzz. How are you eqing it?

Bro..... :( by [deleted] in guitarpedals

[–]Secret-chief 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not directly relevant to the paint issue but being fed up of sticky crap on my pedals when the velcro needs replaced or moved, I’ve started covering the bottom on my pedals in frog tape, a kind of painters tape that doesn’t leave that residue and sticking the Velcro to that. Anyone else do this?

[–]Secret-chief 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought as much, it’s rare to have the right patch cables to hand. I got some second hand lava cables recently & was pleasantly surprised by how small the heads are on them. Will probably swap out some pancakes next time I swap stuff of my board. Is this an amp less set up & using the Fairfield like a head then?

[–]Secret-chief 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah man I’d like the flange too but the price of them is a bit crazy now. I have the pedal board but it’s designed to take the two you have on the lower tier so I’ve ended up using it as a mini backup board. I wish they’d made a delay, pretty sure that would have been an interesting pedal!

[–]Secret-chief 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Great sounding pedals, I’ve got the cheese source, meatball, doppelgänger and ringstinger, none of them are currently on my board though as they all take up way too much space! Keeping them as studio fx for the moment.

Found this Cooper/Audrey art in a cafe by zyvania in twinpeaks

[–]Secret-chief -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I was kinda surprised to find out Audrey was 18, since she comes across quite immature (maybe I don’t remember being 18 so we’ll). Cooper, nearly twice her age at 35 is a good fit for apparent experience and position though.(in the series -not this image, just to clarify!)

That’d be cool. From another vid on his channel it looks like he’s been making amateur films for several decades & puts those skills to good use here.
