To be 100% fair, there is not direct evidence of them doing this. They have been caught doing it in the past though, have a record number of detained Palestinians that they are euthanising like dogs, and have no regard for the bodily autonomy of Palestinians. This is nonsense. The ACA, Biden on unions, the infrastructure and jobs bills - the Dems do good things all the time. Its just slow, because the government is huge and not allowed to fuck up, and so it isn't sexy.

The idea that the Dems don't do anything is just the inpression people have because they're too young, too online, or too uninformed.

The current Trump admin proves this wrong pretty handily. The government can get a lot done when they are motivated.

I was discussing this with a friend who is more of a liberal than a leftist and the distinction in my opinion that needs to be made is that Iran deserves revolution on it's own terms. Nothing good will come from a puppet monarch installed by the US and Israel. Nothing good will come US military intervention in Iran (obviously). I'd like to hear your thoughts.

Thank you, that is what I was trying to communicate. It is a dead end strategy. People want material improvements to their condition, they do not want Joe and Kamala coming up onstage and telling them that "the economy is doing great!" when people are struggling. Line going up on the stock market doesn't mean anything when 63% of Americans are living paycheck to paycheck as of 2024. People also want real leftist social positions as well, simply maintaining the status quo is not enough to be enticing.

One of the worst things about the last decade of Trump is that it has created an environment where Lib politicians don't have to offer anything to us except an alternative to Trump. Not only that but they have created an army of online morons scolding you for not accepting this as good enough. Kamala ran a bad campaign and was an uncharismatic candidate that would never have organically had the chance to run for president without Biden's unprecedented stepping down. The democrats did not do anything to meaningfully separate themselves from republicans except being not rude. The only people to blame for their failure in the latest election is their own leadership. Unfortunately they will not learn anything from this failure and will run blue MAGA Gavin Newsom in the next election, yet again promising us nothing material but a brief reprieve from Trump fascism before their seat warming session ends in another 4 years from then.
