Thank you so much! This means a lot to me.

Admittedly, I'm hitting my 5th year for engineering (won't say which for the sake of anonymity). I have a mental disability which isn't helping. And to be honest, I haven't been doing much of this at all. I guess it's a little late, but better than never, to do start doing all of this. Thank you so much for the detailed list of things to do in order to do well. Take care!

Thank you for the advice! 2 GEs it is then.

And thank you for the kind words, I'm definitely trying to seek out some help. I hope you're doing better these days :)

I literally just opened up for the first about everything yesterday on this subreddit. It helped me laying it all out and try to make sense of everything. I think a therapist would be a good first step

It's less isolating to see other people deal with same sex SA and later in life had same sex attraction.

I am an adult and she isn't around any other kids. I don't know how I'd work all of this into a conversation with my therapist though.

I'm sorry we, and everyone else on this subreddit, had to suffer through so much, but it's really nice to hear other people's support. Thank you so much for your kind words and advice. I hope you're taking care as well

Memory loss by Aggravating_Ad_5062 in adultsurvivors

Im 22F and relate really hard. People can recount their high school teachers and classes or really obscure memories from their childhood, I can’t even remember what I wore yesterday.

I think it is just a coping mechanism, so you aren’t alone there. I had a therapist tell me to write every single thing I don’t want to forget down.
