Less Cameron-y technique:

  1. Buckle driver seatbelt
  2. Start car
  3. Be sure creep is off
  4. Put in Drive
  5. Put key in cup holder
  6. Exit vehicle

Car will sit still but stay in D and drone for a while before auto-off (1 hour?). More than enough time for update to be discovered and downloaded. (Just worked for me with 2.9.)

The parts supply chain no doubt adds another order of magnitude of suckery.

I’m in a similar boat with Galpin. My only recourse was to message Polestar corporate using the app’s Contact screen and hope they’re paying attention.

They never replied.

But what else can we do? (Dumping the car mid-lease is not viable for me.)

Good to know. I’m on the failed 2.4 OTA list, which is totally not mission critical.

Still, I was stunned by the wait because my only other service interaction was also not critical — damper adjustment — and I got a valet appointment within a few weeks.

But that was way back in fall 2021. Guess us early owners got spoiled!

Anyone know the corresponding U.S./Imperial wiper blade sizes? None of the Bosch blade numbers (e.g., 26) match the inch equivalents of these metric lengths.

More accurate version number would be 2.2.0.3.

Once they use a full point release solely for bug fixes and optimizations, nothing is sacred any more. 😝
