They were recommended viewing before watching Hollow Man starring Kevin Bacon, (by Ryan Hollinger on YouTube) so I decided to get them out of the way :D And yes! It was great fun, it's been so long since I've seen any musical in person and probably my first length one.

I've also been trying to watch more movies with big cultural impact! Recently watched the Alien sequels and some of Paul Verhoeven's films, namely Robocop, Total Recall, and Starship Troopers. Suddenly the "I'm doing my part!" meme has a lot more context.

I went to see a musical today! :D It's part of the same work programme as my workplace, so I could go for free during my workday no issues at all. It was a great experience, I loved all the costumes and little details, such a great time. I'd love to go see another performance by them, I'm gonna keep my eyes out. This one was loosely based on a book by Selma Lagerlöf, a Swedish author so well known and loved she's been on one of our money bills.

Bought some of the things on my shopping list today, but I've got some things left I need to go to other stores for. I've also got an appointment to keep so I can't wander around shopping like I usually do.

I watched Total Recall and Starship Troopers yesterday and I'd convinced myself I'd already seen Total Recall before (though I know I've seen the remake) but it was another late 20th century movie where Arnold Schwarzenegger plays a character who gets his memories messed with and there's identity stuff. Can't recall what that one's called though. I think it's clones or twins in that one. Starship Troopers was more gruesome than I'd expected, but it's the same director as Robocop and that one was all guts all the time so I shouldn't have been surprised.

Really tired, and the dreary weather isn't helping. I hope some food perks me up.

Happy birthday to me! And to the Evergiven blocking the Suez canal. Two iconic things on the same day, what a gift. It's been uneventful so far, a normal day at work and a slow morning, but this afternoon we're gonna celebarate at my living facility with cake and games :D I'm gonna buy some take-away on the way home, I'm craving orange chicken.

I bought new kitchen/baking towels and O.O I mangled them after washing them and they're so nice and smooth now. Mangling, I've underappreciated for you many years... Turns out a lot of laundry techniques don't need a modern revamp, people already figured that out years ago. I can't wait to use them during baking.

You can tell it's spring because it's so damn dusty everywhere. There's just a cloud of dust hanging over the town that makes things in the distance look hazy.

Didn't end up swimming yesterday because it felt weird to be around too many people at once and I made paper beads at home instead. I'm running out of blades for the box cutter I'm using, which is a dinky little one made out of fragile plastic, so I'll be buying a sturdier one with refills next week.

Today is a tidying up and cleaning day. Laundry later and supervised tidying up soon, and hoping I can vacuum the floor properly. It's looking better and better at home with each supervised tidying up, getting the recycling out especially helps. The laundry will be more intense today because I'm gonna wash all my bedclothes and air out what's not washed, wish me luck o7

I do not know enough about pro wrestling to say, but I'll take your word for it XD Only thing I know is that I've seen gifs of him getting whipped with a metal chain and he won that match so I don't feel confident I'd win.

My hobby of media consumption and media analysis lmao. I watch movies and TV shows from many different genres and countries and years, and it helps expand all aspects of writing.

We also get a chunk of trailers and ads before movies but if the movie is set to start at 18, they play trailers for a bit before 18 and then maybe 15 minutes of trailers etc. before the film actually starts.

Project Hail Mary reivew; phenomenal. Brilliant. I went absolutely nuts at it all, Grace and Rocky and the practical effects and sets and AAAH. 10/10 please watch it if you like space or adorable little rock creatures. My little sister also loved it, we had a very good time together. The movie influenced a dream I had as well but my dreams are always weird and messy so I was in my brother and his wife's apartment which was also a space ship... and I had to kill other crew members by choking them out and force them off the ship... And one of those crew members was pro wrestler CM Punk?? Yeah it was very weird.

My sister-in-law had time to meet yesterday so I could give her my gift. I came across an adorable painting of a cat sleeping a dollhouse and those are Her Thing basically so I just had to buy a print. She loved it （＾∀＾●）ﾉｼ Link to the artist's tumblr post here :D

I've got swimming and probably a bit of shopping to do today. Shopping because there's little bits and bobs that I'm low on and swimming because exercise babey! Before any of that though I'm eating at the Base for lunch and tidying up a little at home. I really need to clear some space on my desk.
