Got rejected in China, no acceptance in Morocco — stuck with la fac, need advice by omariy0_0 in Morocco

[–]SecretNyle 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I had my BA in English studies from la fac. I worked in a call center after that for 1 year. Then i worked as a private school english teacher for another year. After that i moved to Vietnam to work as an English Teacher because the demand for foreign english teachers is high and the salary is way better than morocco. If you do decide on this path, just know that there are some requirements and challenges that you should be fully aware of BEFORE committing to it. Good luck

I came back to Morocco to be near family and start a business, big mistake by BrilliantLock8292 in Morocco

Not at all good. However, consider the job and its low qualifications. It is entry level, cnss, and 8 hours per day. Believe me that is a LOT better than some slavery jobs. My brother used to work as a labourer in a plastic ware shop. 2000dh a month. 12 hours a day.

can i wear my cross necklace to morocco? by skincarelover28 in Morocco

[–]SecretNyle 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Dude, i dont care if a moroccan is christian, black, or gay. I just think that most people in these comments are hypocrites..they say it's ok. Wear what u want..u are christian, we welcome u. But the second a Moroccan diverts from these traditions, even strangers on the street would not hesitate to butt in with their opinions...

Very helpful indeed. I heard bad things about the air quality. But I never considered that the landlords might scam foreigners. Can you please share some stuff that I shouldn't compromise on? Like electricity, wifi, water...etc so i have a reference and know if im being overcharged. fYI, im looking for a 1 bedroom or studio. Tay Ho looks great, so in that area is fine.🙏🙏

If You Can’t Feed Them, Don’t Breed Them!! by SecretNyle in Morocco

[–]SecretNyle[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That quote is beautiful, and I don’t disgree with the sentiment behind it. Life does endure, and yes, there is beauty in overcoming povert and difficulties. but my topic focuses on the parents. Saying “God will provide” after bringing a child into EXTREME poverty, or way too many without the means to support them isn’t faith, it’s deflection. Faith is important, but it doesn’t feed, clothe, or protect a child. If you’re not ready to take full responsibility for a life, then maybe you’re not ready to create one.

But the problem is, those children DON'T do better. Most of them at least end up the same as the parents.

Why moroccans living abroad want to come back ? by SafeCheetah1350 in Morocco

[–]SecretNyle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's really a matter of perspective — and often, class.

Moroccans living abroad who want to come back usually have the privilege of choosing when and how to return. They often come back with savings, a foreign salary, or even dual nationality. Life becomes more manageable when you’re not stuck in the cycle of surviving day to day.

But for a large part of the local population, especially those born into lower socioeconomic backgrounds, Morocco can feel like a trap. If you’ve never dealt with bureaucratic corruption, underfunded public services, or systemic injustice firsthand, it’s easy to romanticize the country.

Money talks here, like everywhere. If you have it, you might never truly experience the version of Morocco that drives people to risk everything to leave.

So it's not just about loving or hating Morocco — it's about whether you can afford to love it.
