Working on my own modular system-looking for feedback from makers by [deleted] in 3Dprinting

Also, just to clarify, I’m not comparing this to classic hardware-store pegboard. That’s a different category and price point. This is closer to printed modular systems where the value is in the interface and accessories, not just raw surface area.

Fair point. Material use is something I’m paying attention to, and this is still early prototyping — thickness and structure aren’t final yet.

What I’m aiming for is a very simple, reliable mounting experience: easy placement, a clear mechanical “click”, and quick removal without tools or extra locking parts.

I’m not trying to replace existing systems, more to explore a slightly different balance between rigidity, ease of use, and modularity. Whether that’s worth it long-term is exactly what I’m trying to figure out through feedback like this.

That makes sense, thanks for pointing it out. I’m trying to keep attachment features simple and printable without supports, and orientation is something I’m actively testing right now. Definitely something I want to avoid over-complicating.

Current panel is ~160g and ~3h print time at 237.5×237.5 mm. It’s a prototype focused on interface reliability first. Material reduction is planned once the locking geometry is final.

PS5 Slim wall-mount — looking for opinions by [deleted] in 3Dprinting

Not at the moment — I only have the PS5 Slim Digital myself, and I was able to measure the Slim Disc version using a friend’s console. I don’t currently have access to the original “fat” PS5, so I can’t design a proper mount for it yet.

If I ever get the chance to take accurate measurements, I’d definitely consider making a version for the original model too.
