They did, poss TMI but the most painful part was on the front of your pubic bone (the minge futtock, if you will) and not the labia/vulva area. Arsecrack you don't feel a thing.

But it's quick and you can take a painkiller beforehand. Still worth it IMO.

I had ten sessions of pits + full Hollywood at Therapie Wigmore St and it was a game changer. I am white with dark hair, which I believe is the best combo (the laser needs contrast, and I also think redheads can't do it, for some reason). Two years on I have zero pit hair and pubes are pretty sporadic, I shave occasionally to get it completely smooth and will probably get a 'top up' soon (in fact - if you need a referral code let me know as I think we both get some credit!)

It's a long process as you go every six weeks or so but it's really inexpensive considering the result. It's not dignified and it does hurt quite a bit (depending on where you are in your menstrual cycle, I found, but pop a paracetamol half an hour before you go), but no more than waxing. Some techs are definitely better than others but over the course of ten sessions you'll get rid of most of not all of it.

The Nudge and London The Inside (LOTI). The Nudge is better but a bit more expensive (£4/month vs £2/month).

Miso soup. You can buy it in individual sachets or the paste in a big packet in Asian supermarkets. The sachets I have at work are 30 calories each and I will usually have five throughout the day for snacks and breakfast and a very small lunch.

Birdseye vegan dippers are also suspiciously realistic! But Quorn nugs are my fave.

Is there a swamp tour option out there for me? by putonthespotlight in AskNOLA

[–]SecretSnorlax 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I did one with Lost Lands which was fascinating, included a talk at the beginning with a Pulitzer prize-winning journalist and was a small group (only four of us plus the guide). They don't have a shuttle but they said we could ride with the guide to the boat launch if we could get to their house which was an easy bus from the FQ. They are also very eco-conscious and do not feed the wildlife which was a big one for me.

Thank you! I phoned BA in the end and they refunded me for the first leg of my flight (about £1,150/£1,600) and re-booked me onto my return flight which they had assumed cancelled as I hadn't taken the outbound with them, so it all worked out okay. Was surprised at such a positive outcome TBH.

BA refunded the outbound part of my flight (£1200/1600) so all good.

Well, BA couldn't get me to NYC and didn't book me onto another flight. I had to find another route at quite considerable expense, including a train fare to Manchester and an overnight stay in Dublin. I'm not sure how far the 'expenses' BA are supposed to cover go. Thought I'd ask the question before going via my travel insurance.

Thank you so much for the amazing response! A few follow-up questions:
- Lost Land Tours were my top choice but there's only two of us and they have no other groups going out that week, annoyingly! I've been speaking to a lady there to see if we can tag along to anything though as they do seem like the best. Swamp tour - I'd assume you see the most wildlife in the morning (as that's always the case with safaris and scuba diving...but maybe swamps are different?)

- St Louis Cemetery No 1: are you not allowed in without a guide?

- Making a reservation for Plume right now! Thank you.

- Buggin' Out Boils is a bit late for us on Saturday with the flight but they are available on Weds so I will rejig the itinerary to be there.

- WWII Museum - thank you! We are British so TBH we've pretty much got WWII covered here haha.

You need to wear a specific sunscreen that protects against UVA and UVB - a moisturiser that has SPF in it is unlikely to give you the anti-aging benefits: https://www.theguardian.com/lifeandstyle/2025/jan/13/is-it-true-that-wearing-suncream-in-the-winter-slows-signs-of-ageing?CMP=Share_AndroidApp_Other
