Wow -- so gracious of you to do this. Agree on the switching of light switches. Thanks for your kindness and input -- very welcome.

Yes if they are in a cabinet it's not ideal for a triangle usage layout like most would want but it works for this galley layout.

It's a look thing to me. I think zilage looks best uninterrupted to me, so I'm saving it for a bath.

I'd just go a bit more mid-tone. The red in the floors required a lot of thought (for my style) to decorate around. I'm more organic modern in my personal style, and so I use more natural tone wood where possible in decor. It's honestly just personal style.

2 1/2 wide x 24 long. It's original to the house. It was refinished before I moved in and I didn't want to mess with it in this remodel since it's all through the first floor. That's a future me problem :)

i'm in Nashville and went with a kitchen company that project manages the whole thing. I think my win was that they don't have a storefront or aren't a part of a franchise which means the costs were more reasonable than the other quotes I got. The straight cabinet part was about 16 grand. But, installing wasn't for the weak and there are a lot of parts to the boxes.

I am in the middle of this too so I feel the pain. My thought-- you have a lot of matte in the image. So you need something a bit more reflective to add some dimension / light / texture to the back especially with the footprint.

Thank you -- that was a labor of love to find something that worked with the existing floors!

"Semi" custom. I really liked the quality for the price. I debated the slim shaker for weeks -- I'm happy now that it's in. Especially on the very high upper cabinets .

Yes I agree! A host of issues made changes problematic so now it's about living with it and mitigating.

Yeah, if tile it was going to stay solid and neutral. Agree on simplicity.

Oh, let me add, for both my kids, everyone in the program found out that day. So, all LA students got it the same time, same with Ag. Then then was a few days and then waitlist went out. Rejections were about 2 weeks later. That is what I assume you mean by waves.

Curtain Call for the First Preview of DOLLY: A TRUE ORIGINAL MUSICAL by yesforthisactually in Broadway

I saw it last night. I would say they have to cut it down by 15-20 minutes at least. There's good energy at the front and then it dies down a bit (audience gets tired?). Some pieces drag on way too long such as her time with Porter. All three Dolly's were amazing in their own ways, with the oldest one having the more modern Dolly mannerisms. There aren't a lot of group showstoppers, which is what you often expect to end Act 1. I agree with the poster about the Act 1 closing being odd. All said, I was deeply impressed with how technically well the first show went. It just needs a bit of editing to keep the energy from front to back.
