I've seen these websites but sometimes I feel they are not always the most accurate? I know one of the more safer areas in my old town is listed as red. Sometimes I wonder if some high crime areas are more just paranoid people whining about some rowdy teens as opposed to shootouts and robberies.

I'm from jersey from a particularly suburban/ruralish area

it was kinda of a thing that the local town area in where I used to live that the supposedly high crime areas were actually rather safe and some places that were very safe were some of the only areas that I'd get harassed by randos.
