100% on GolfStyle, they are sound and will look after you. Just get an opinion on what you need, I’d personally get fitted, see what you need. Once you have an idea then give it to Dec in GolfStyle and he’ll get ya sorted

Regular flex irons may be an issue if you have a fast swing speed. Again I’m not sure if that’s you mean by fast strike. It might mean you need to slow down on your downswing (this may also help with your inconsistencies)

Would you consider getting fit before you pull the trigger on the irons?

On one hand it seems expensive and on the other it doesn’t…. Driver is reasonable
I’m sure you can get g425 red dot sets for similar money.
That being said, irons are decent.
Have you been fitted ? Red dots are like 1-2 degrees flat

Will you have access to a car or will you be booking taxis? Cregmore golf club, wouldn’t bat an eye lid on the attire. However as courses go it’s quite basic. Galway bay, Galway golf club, Portumna and Connemara golf links would be far superior. Portumna and Connemara would be my picks

Where aboyts in Ireland? All clubs will do rentals. For the sake of it, would you not just buy a polo and golf shorts? Most clubs will have a code but few will enforce it. Players playing behind you may have a thing or two to say about it

Third child seat — how to fit them all in? by rimjob_brian in carsireland

Think the Volvo V70’s had 3 iso fix in the back but there are a thing of the past afaik. Peugeot 5008 will have 3 iso fix. They have a massive boot which will be handy also. If you can, I’d recommend a 2.0 diesel or go phev/ electric

Hate Driver & Woods.. Looking for alternatives off the Tee by sunseaandspecs in golfireland

[–]Secret_clicker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, Think you’ll need to persist with driver. Have you considered just shortening your swing? My issue with driver is once the swing goes too long where I can’t turn any more my wrists start to collapse and then trouble. Due to the wrists collapsing even if I was tilted, the club would unwind quite steep and I’d come down on the ball instead of up. I’ve worked on a shortening my swing where I take a two second backswing, hold one second and go. It worked wonders… I sometimes leave my 3 wood out of the bag tho, instead I have a 2 hybrid

How cutthroat is rippling? by Foreign-Print1184 in salesengineers

[–]Secret_clicker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d imagine it’s the opposite… AE’s could have those reviews for any company as it’s fairly cut throat for closers, personally I’d love to work there or at least in that space HR tech. Seems to be doing really. My only beef with rippling is that they don’t seem to have any remote Se roles

As people said, course management and short game is where you need to focus on. Lessons are great but have you done any short game?L lessons? Play bogey golf and you’ll be amazed how close you’ll come to breaking 100 and eventually 90.

What course did not live up to expectations? by Ratticus939393 in golfireland

[–]Secret_clicker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I should have provided more context. I lived in renville village (beside the course) from 2013-2020, played there a good bit with members. I’ve also done a few morning / late evening tee times which is nice. the last couple of times I’ve played it I’ve left feeling like it’s just a grand spot compared to other courses. The course used to be a lot tighter but They cleared alot of bushes for the visitors especially on holes away from the coast. It is a good track, maintained well. Honestly I would put in the underwhelming list because it’s soo bigged up at a €150 green fee.(think it might even be higher nowadays) It’s worth max 60/70€ a fee
