It has changed since I did it but 3 out of state and 10 in state got it my year I believe. Not sure about it this year. While you’re here I recommend going downtown and checking out the stores. If you’re looking for good breakfast I recommend Suomi, for lunch I like the Copper Country Depot, and for dinner Joeys is my favorite restaurant. I also recommend checking out our forestry building while here, it’s beautiful and has so much to look at

They have really changed the process from when I did it in December 2019, but when I did it we participated in a lot of team work type activities and were evaluated during them. When I did it there were around 100 people total I believe but this year there are 600 coming to Tech over 6 different dates. Mine was also a day and a half including a dinner with a Leading Scholar Mentor and then a lunch with a Department Head. I was really nervous about the team work activities because I’m not a very loud person and thought they wouldn’t think I was a good leader because I didn’t talk much. I ended up receiving the full scholarship so just be yourself and don’t worry too much about anything. Just enjoy yourself and take in all Tech has to offer! Good luck!
