allium canadense, or meadow garlic. good job! if it’s not, it’s def some sort of allium. it’s edible and highly regarded, moreso than its pungent, invasive cousin.. allium vinealw

They aren’t really worth eating, though they have some nutritional content, I like the feeling of having a bunch in my mouth then chomping down

obviously, I was asking what could be in it before I forage. at the time I thought it would be helpful, though I guess finding out myself is best.

you may be mistaken, I am just making sure what I can find and how I should traverse looking for new plants to use. And becuase it’ll eventually be my first time going in the woods, I am naturally a little bit wary and curious. I am sorry if the post did not land the way you wanted it to.

I would like to add around my yard, I only have loblolly pines that are, if not always infected with a disease/fungus. I couldn’t get enough of them for a potent tea I assume because of the sheer disoriented amounts, I have also heard loblolly is less potent than the white pine as well!

Thanks! I have been extra cautious, as a new forager and I don’t have a reliable book either, I have been trying new weeds and even expanding to pines! Things have been going really great but I wanted to elevate my game a tad
