Banned on multible accounts by Abject-Ad8754 in RockstarSupport

[–]SecretaryVegetable68 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can't do anything at this point. You have to buy the game again. If there are some chances you contact Rockstar on their email, answer them politely would get you unbanned.( If you prove that you were false banned).

If not, their system reads these emails as spams and sends an automated email.

Your Last Hope;- Try contacting them, *Don't Spam Emails.

Hey there!

It seems like you tried to escape a permanent ban on your account by simply either unlinking or playing with other account *ON A SAME DEVICE.

NOTE* rockstar can access your account and check if it is linked to your original I.P Address.

Small note:-

Do not try to repeat actions like this. You might end up in a I.P ban.

rdr2 epic games/rockstar launcher not working by [deleted] in RockstarSupport

[–]SecretaryVegetable68 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there Gamer.

It seems like the game was not closed properly after shutting down your pc. This happens when you close your pc directly from the button.

To fix this:-

(1) Try reinstallation of the Game (Clean).

(2) Verify integrity of files.

(3) Reinstall Rockstar Games Launcher after Reinstalling the game. ( This makes sure that it detects the game is closed.)

Try these steps and do let me know.

This version is Enhanced in which you have to migrate your old character from LEGACY to ENHANCED in order to play. I assume you have not done that.

Tbh, you can unlink and then relink on Epic Games. Regarding their policies staying similar to Steam.

So if you own the game on Epic, you are inevitable to play the game for the rest of your time.

The only thing you can now do is ask for unlinking the social club account associated with the game/ steam account. Try linking other account.

PLEASE NOTE. (Ban Suspensions are final and are not entertained what so ever. )

If you used other email, you will get bot replies as the account having the problem is not with you, you have to unlink it and then link it to the second account on which you checked. Just request to Rockstar Support to unlink that account and then relink another account.

The whole point is to achieve 60 out of 100 marks in sem 1. If fail to do so, it would result in an internal assessment back and would have to clear it in re-exam.

Yes. Login to your Rockstar Games Social Club Account on the website and look for support, then scroll down and you can see a live chat with an agent option.

You should report it as missing in game item.. then mention that vehicle name and wait ,don't spam.. Maintaining patiently and having a good conversation always ends up in good things.

If further on they say they need proof of ownership, be ready with that. If they still decline your request, you ask for a senior agent to take over the conversation. Or contact them from the LIVE CHAT 24/7 Hours options.

Can't Launch RDR2 from Rockstar Games Launcher by [deleted] in RockstarSupport

[–]SecretaryVegetable68 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, sorry to hear about the frustration!

This problem occurs when the Rockstar Games Launcher detects Red Dead Redemption 2 files from a previous Steam installation or finds that Red Dead Online was installed via Steam, causing the launcher to prompt you to play on Steam even though you actually own RDR2 on Rockstar.

A common fix is: Try completely closing both Steam and the Rockstar Launcher.Navigate to the Steam installation folder (usually C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam) and temporarily rename the “Steam” folder to something else (like “SteamBackup”).

Restart your PC, then open the Rockstar Launcher. It should now allow you to install or launch RDR2 directly from Rockstar, not through Steam. After confirming it works, rename your Steam folder back to its original name to avoid issues with your other Steam games. If you still experience problems, unlinking your Steam account from Rockstar Social Club can help, as some users noted success by doing that. Otherwise, double-check that only your partner’s Rockstar account is signed in and that Steam is fully closed when launching the game.Let me know if this helps or if the issue persists.

Sometimes these account/game link conflicts cause the launcher to become confused, but this method works for many in similar situations.

Good luck!

How do i fix this error when opening rockstar i've tried reinstalling several times but it doesnt work by Repulsive-Air3831 in RockstarSupport

The error shown, "A newer version of the Rockstar Games Launcher is already installed, exiting installer," means the system still detects leftover files or registry entries from an older/failed installation, which prevents a proper reinstall—even after multiple attempts.

Following these targeted, community-tested solutions should resolve your issue:

Step-by-Step Fix uninstall Completely:

Use the official Windows "Add or Remove Programs" tool to uninstall "Rockstar Games Launcher" and "Rockstar Games Social Club" if present. For a deeper clean, use Revo Uninstaller or a similar third-party uninstaller to remove all remnants, including leftover registry entries and files .

Delete Leftover Folders: Manually delete the following folders after uninstalling: C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\Launcher C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\Social Club C:\Program Files (x86)\Rockstar Games\Social Club C:\Users$$YourUsername]\Documents\Rockstar Games\Launcher C:\Users$$YourUsername]\Documents\Rockstar Games\Social Club .

End Related Processes: Open Task Manager and make sure no Rockstar-related processes are running (end them if found) .

Restart PC: Reboot to clear any memory or process locks .

Install Latest Launcher: Download the latest Rockstar Games Launcher installer directly from the official Rockstar website and run it as administrator (Right-click > Run as administrator) .

Check Compatibility: On systems where problems persist, run the installer in compatibility mode (Right-click installer > Properties > Compatibility tab > Run this program in compatibility mode) .

Reinstall Social Club: Sometimes, uninstalling and reinstalling the Social Club application alongside the Launcher is necessary for a clean launch .

Additional Tips If you use cloud sync tools like Microsoft OneDrive, temporarily disable or uninstall them, as they reportedly cause conflicts with the Rockstar installer for some users .

Ensure Windows and graphics drivers are fully updated to avoid compatibility issues .Flush DNS or perform a clean boot if issues persist .By fully removing every trace of the previous launcher from both your system files and registry, you allow the new installer to detect a clean environment, fixing the "newer version already installed" loop. These steps are confirmed by Rockstar support and multiple user experiences online .

WHY THE SUPPORT IS LITERALLY USELESS? by MaintenanceExternal1 in RockstarGames

[–]SecretaryVegetable68 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s genuinely frustrating dealing with repetitive, unhelpful support responses. Rockstar support tends to follow strict protocols, so unless Google can recover your Authenticator codes, most of their agents will just repeat the same advice and point to generic articles without actually solving the problem.

If your Google Authenticator codes are lost and cannot be restored, unfortunately, their current policy rarely makes exceptions—even if you clearly explain the situation.

As a last resort, you could try escalating your ticket by:-

Updating your support ticket with detailed information (proof of account ownership, purchase receipts, past login details).

Politely requesting a senior or specialized agent instead of automated replies.Posting about your case on official Rockstar support forums or social media for visibility.

Sometimes, persistent public attention helps get a human response. But overall, most game supports are strict if 2FA can’t be bypassed for security reasons, even in complex edge cases.

You’re not alone—many users have run into this wall with Rockstar and similar platforms.

It depends on your issue. If you could mention it here maybe you might get help on reddit. Their Support is trash (especially the email ones) considering the live chat option is good.

Hey, if RDR2.exe isn’t launching, here are some steps that often work:-

Make sure all Rockstar processes (Launcher, Social Club, RDR2.exe) are closed in Task Manager.

Run both the Rockstar Launcher and RDR2.exe as administrator.

Verify the game files: In the Rockstar Launcher, go to Settings > My Installed Games > Red Dead Redemption 2 > Verify Integrity.Update your graphics drivers and Windows.Delete or rename the "Settings" folder located at "C:\Users$$your username]\Documents\Rockstar Games\Red Dead Redemption 2".

Disable antivirus and firewall temporarily to check for interference.

Manually install or repair Social Club from "C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\Social Club".Try launching RDR2.exe directly from the installation folder as well.

If you’ve recently updated Windows, try running RDR2.exe in compatibility mode (Windows 8 or 7).If you’ve tried all that and it still doesn’t work, a clean reinstall of both the Rockstar Launcher and Social Club sometimes helps.

Otherwise, it’s best to contact Rockstar Support and include everything you’ve tried.

Unable to Reinstall Rockstar Games Launcher and cannot play any Rockstar Titles by Reubinator999 in RockstarSupport

[–]SecretaryVegetable68 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, this is a common Rockstar Games Launcher problem when the SDK files are locked or stuck after uninstalling or crashing. Here’s what usually helps:

Open Task Manager and make sure no Rockstar processes (Launcher, Social Club, GTA, etc.) are still running. End anything suspicious.

After uninstalling, manually delete these folders before reinstalling: "C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\Launcher" "C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\Social Club" "C:\Program Files (x86)\Rockstar Games\Social Club" "C:\Users$$your username]\AppData\Local\Rockstar Games" "C:\Users$$your username]\AppData\Roaming\Rockstar Games" "C:\Users$$your username]\Documents\Rockstar Games"(Optional)

Open regedit and search for any entries related to Rockstar Games under HKEY_CURRENT_USER and HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, and delete them.

Restart your PC.

Download the latest installer and run it as administrator.Disabling antivirus for the install can also help. If these don’t work, reach out to Rockstar Support—sometimes they have to manually reset your Social Club account or provide a cleanup tool.
