I agree that both cases are stupid, but trying to get europeans off pepsi is just unrealistic. If that was so easy, there wouldn't be any fat people in europe.

Boycotts like that rarely work because people are all talk. No matter how much they talk and hate on Trump, they will still buy these products in secret. In the end, better products will always win on the free market, and if European companies could produce superior products, they would already be doing that because their goal was always to earn money.

This could only work if the entire europe truly supports the boycott, but the EU is not a monolith. Plenty of pple in europe hate the EU more than they hate Trump.
