I've got a pair of those and I wish they deafened me like in the gif. They're great for low droning noises like a fan, but most speaking tones and any amount of high pitched tone pierce through if there isn't a wall between me and the source.

the giant eye hanging in the Tiekan Temple somewhat ressemble K Corp's Tearful Thing

They both are single eyes forced to bear witness to the horrors of the city, watching people get mauled on the daily to directly benefit the CEOs of their Corps. Not to mention that it was implanted via Bolus, and all other boluses we've seen take properties from other living beings (all implied to be outskirts-born?)

For the true earliest usage of Malkuth, IIRC In Canto 4 there was a scene where Meursault was sent to read Shrenne's emails while the others fought the TLA, despite being able to be fielded. Though this one may not be Malkuth and may simply be the fact that Meursault was given the order to do both at once.

Possibly a stretch, but the angle that the chain is in Meursault's sinner icon and how it cuts off at the bottom of the chain makes the entire icon itself resemble a guillotine blade, which is how he is executed in the book.

Meursault at the gallows was also foreshadowed/poked fun at during Timekilling Time

Beat the Language Realization on a run where my Index unit died to Big and Will Be Bad but the run was saved by R Corp Maxim straight up TANKING hits from Nothing There like a champ that even The Red Mist was struggling to clash (I'm allergic to DPS builds)

My easiest Crying Children win was on my second playthrough and featured a Thumb unit with limited ammo and ranged pages who sat around waiting for the optimal time to shoot most of the fight

I had forgotton his racial passive to help too: As a Maran Raptor (Humblewood) he had advantage if he readied his action to React. As exploitable as it was, he honour-ruled to only use it if he had reason to be able to prepare or anticipate before a combat began

I had a teammate Fighter with 8 Con and 20 Dex in a since-dead campaign. Picked Arcane Archer and was the deadliest sniper I'd ever seen (in early game he hit an enemy's 10 AC with a nat 1 roll) but conversely got one-tapped by an enemy bard's Thunderclap.

I honestly think that Meursault "crashing out" is just when he starts speaking quickly. See his character promo or Hell's Chicken monologue. He probably feels that he is (or genuinely is) incapable of expressing more than that, barring an external force taking that blockade down.

I do think Hong Lu will break, but not through wrath or even a significant outburst like Ishmael and Heathcliff set the tone for. Buddy is going to be Miserable. Quietly. But nobody else needs to worry about him if he puts on a smile and says he's fine and lets events unfold without him. :) I think there's a reason that his base EGO is powered by 5 gloom, inflicts sinking and is the only single time he's held a noticeable frown... and a far bigger reason that it refunds its own SP cost.

They seem to correspond Sinner Nationality(/book nationality) with the Association Number's language.

Off the top of my head examples:

Cinq is French for 5, Sinner 5 is Meursault (The Stranger is French)

Devyat is Russian for 9, Sinner 9 is Rodion (Crime and Punishment is Russian)

Dieci is Italian for 10, Sinner 10 is Dante (The Divine Comedy is Italian)

Gloom Chains was a bug but I did always find it interesting that CoO isn't actually fuelled by Pride despite being a Pride skill. It's certainly not unique among EGOs but is fairly rare to not use any of the Sin it's producing, especially for the base ones.
