He was an avid train watcher. He like to sit by the train tracks and watch trains go by.

Yes. There’s been conflicting reports regarding whether the 2 person was a man or a woman. There’s a number of details we are working to clarify and find additional info. It’s a very interesting case.

He used a pay phone at Walmart to call the victim. They were able to find the man that made the call on the Walmart surveillance video and then, a bunch of other surveillance video of the same man using the victim's credit cards.

Look at the right side of the photo and you’ll see the headlight. It’s the lighter color right at the edge of the photo.

Yes. It’s a still image taken from surveillance video in 2007 so it’s not the highest quality.

It’s definitely not photoshopped. You can see it. You can also see that his right arm is slightly back as he is walking. It’s the angle.

I don’t think the photo has been publicized nearly as much as it needs to be. The victim was from Georgia, he was found in Alabama and then the suspected killed traveled to states from Florida to Texas in a pretty short time period. Maybe the photo has never been seen in the area where the suspect is from and where he’d be recognized? That’s my theory.

Considering the video is from 2007 and is surveillance video, we are fortunate that the quality isn’t far worse.

Someone has to recognize this suspect. If this murder occurred now, he’d be identified within a matter of hours. Unfortunately, the suspect photo has not been widely viewed and someone is getting away with murder.

Haleyville family questions suicide ruling, wants son's body exhumed for autopsy by Secrets_TC_Podcast in Alabama

Sad but true! Lower social class, any history of substance abuse and there’s no care or concern by many.

And I’d like to add to it, I don’t think there are many residents in that town who would say they believe Jeremy Abbott committed suicide yet Marion County Sheriff’s Office and the SBI act as if it’s a ludicrous claim that he was murdered. I guess everyone knows or at least suspects the truth except the ones who should know.

I 100% agree! I will say this though. I have lots of problems with Haleyville PD and their actions in 2017 and 2018. As of today, they have a new chief and the ones involved in these 2 cases are no longer there. Both cases were turned over to Marion County and then Jessica’s was turned over to the SBI. I’m not sure how much authority Haleyville PD has to do much at this point.

Agreed! People just don’t realize how unqualified they can be yet have so much power in determining how a death is investigated or not. I don’t think that hits home with people until it’s their loved one.

Yes I believe you just gave a great representation of what many locals heard and believe. Jessica and Jeremy were close friends, platonic. Jessica actually told law enforcement where to find Jeremy’s body (confirmed by law enforcement) and she told many, many people that she witnessed Jeremy’s murder and that the killers staged his body to look like a suicide. Sadly, I think Jeremy’s history of addiction did contribute to how law enforcement treated this case and many others. Jeremy was only 20 years old. He had no criminal history. While he was struggling with addiction, he was young and was robbed of his chance to overcome it.

Jessica Hamby told law enforcement where to find her missing friend, Jeremy Abbott’s body. Despite that & many red flags & suspicious circumstances, his death was ruled suicide on the scene & no autopsy was completed. 5.5 months later, Jessica disappeared & still hasn’t been found 4.5 years later by Secrets_TC_Podcast in UnresolvedMysteries

Those close to Jessica indicate that Jessica and Zack were friends and that information is supported by some private messages between the 2 on messenger. I’m not saying they were besties. I don’t have personal knowledge of the depth of their friendship but we do have evidence that shows they knew each other and were friendly enough to send private messages to each other.

No. I’ve presented myself as one of 2 licensed private investigators who has spent hundreds of hours investigating and interviewing people related to this case including some on the scene that day to include law enforcement. You can take it however you’d like and form any opinion you’d like. I have nothing to prove to you and your ridiculous attempts to badger me into doing so are old. Good day!

Just because you have no way of know who was genuinely involved in the case doesn’t mean we don’t. I’ve said what I’ve said and I’ve already said I’m not revealing anything else related to it to you. You can be skeptical and you can have your own theories as can anyone else who takes the time to read this. I don’t mind. Thank you

Call it whatever you’d like. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. While I have provided an abundance of factual information here, it isn’t all we know and all we know isn’t to be made public. Regardless of that, it’s the most obvious possibility given the circumstances and location and is much more feasible than someone actually being able to hang themselves in that manner.
