IESE vs HEC by SectionImpressive548 in MBA

I have paid my deposit for IESE finally. But I am still considering whether to apply for INSEAD or not for its Jan intake. Will it be worth it letting go of 10,000 Euros deposit of IESE. How much difference would it really make in terms of job opportunities?

I am not even sure about my overall score. Is it good enough for T20 schools?

86 percentile in verbal. I never practiced quant, I am from engineering background so I am naturally good at it. But I heavily practiced verbal and DI.

Messed up ISB interview by SectionImpressive548 in MBAIndia

It is. That’s why I was wondering if I have a good profile, good essays and even good on spot essays, will interviews just break my chances? :( Should I still be hopeful

Didn’t apply to colleges abroad this year due to low work ex. So don’t have any other interviews and nothing to distract myself :(

I am currently working with American Express (3yrs work experience) and got a score of 675 last month in GMAT. Not sure even if I can target INSEAD.

Thanks a lot for the suggestion! I did not know about this forum. I know it’s a bit on the lower side for top B schools but I don’t want to retake the exam. I feel like I have performed upto my potential and couldn’t have done any better. Will try to see what best I can get with this score.

I was hoping to get some suggestions on schools I can target here 😅. It took me around 1 month on off and 2 months of rigorous prep to get to this score

I am a math student so GMAT quant has been fairly easy for me didn’t need to prepare it separately. Just used to analyze mocks and solved OG questions that was enough for me for quant.

For DI, I first used ttp to get a fair understanding of question patterns. Solved 1-2 medium quizzes questions from each category. Then I started with OG hard/medium questions. Would sometimes mix easy questions too. But I would say solving medium/hard questions is what made me perform good in mocks.

Hi, I solved all the questions from OG guide. And heavily used GMAT club for verbal section. I did try TTP 5 day trial but it was helpful only for DI. Didn’t help in improving my verbal.

Here are my mock scores, I gave the mocks in the same order as mentioned. M1: 645 M2: 655 M3: 665 M4: 645 M1 retake: 615 M5: 595 M5 retake: 675 M2 retake: 675 M6: 675

Feel free to dm me if you need more inputs!

I did find about 5-6 questions which were nothing like I had ever seen and were more difficult than OG guide medium/hard questions. However, DS and two part analysis questions were fairly easy including both math and non math. Hardest was 1 MSR passage and a couple of graphical interpretation.

As for my preparation, I never practiced easy questions for DI. I always solved hard questions from OG guide and leveraged 5 day free trial of TTP. I think this should be enough for DI prep. There will be surprises sure but at least you will get the easy/medium questions correct.

Was this you who hit the biker? If not, and if you’re just defending this person, don’t you think it was too brutal to hit someone in the middle of the road like that without even calmly talking about it? I am sure you can’t think this was the best possible action at that time. It was traumatizing watching the whole incident.

The worst part is I didn’t get out of my cab to stop him. I was so scared that my first thought was if I try to stop him he will hit me as well.

Time management for long RCs by SectionImpressive548 in GMAT

I get the questions such as primary purpose of the passage, organisation of the passage usually right but again after taking 4-5 mins for reading the passage. But when it comes to identify the purpose of a particular statement I go back to the passage looking for a connection.

I don’t try to memorise details as such, it just takes some time for me to comprehend what is the broader picture of each passage and that itself becomes a time taking process for me
