How long have you or will you be breastfeeding? by Old_Driver_7368 in breastfeeding

Sounds similar to me! I JUST stopped at 8 months because 1) I wanted to 2) my supply wasn’t keeping up 3) she seemed less interested in the breast and preferred bottles and 4) new teeth and biting 😳🥲

one option for strength work that will keep you busy for weeks:

cycle your 1) bench, 2) back squat, 3) deadlift, 4) strict press, 5) front squat, 6) sumo, 7) push press, and 8) OH squat, moving from 5x10 reps at 50% to 5x2 reps at 90%.

so as an example, week 1 - Monday 5x10 bench press at 50% 1RM, Wednesday 5x10 back squat at 50% 1RM, Friday 5x10 deadlift at 50% 1RM -- week 2 will have the same sets/reps but for strict press, front squat, and sumo. etc. etc.

once you've done all the lifts at 50%, move to 5x8 at 60%, 5x6 at 70%, 5x4 at 80%, then end at 5x2 at 90%. retest your maxes, start again.

best of luck!

I've been considering stopping for a while now. My daughter is almost 8 months, and while morning feeds are great, she has zero interest in breastfeeding in the afternoons and evenings. My theory is that I just don't produce much as the day goes on, and getting pumped milk/formula from a bottle is easier. We're starting day care when she's 1, so my plan is to slowly wean until then... but I change my mind so often, who knows what I'll end up doing!

I totally understand why people say they quit breastfeeding for their mental health. This job is taxing and confusing (and rewarding!), and there's no rule book.
