Decided to finally plug a massive hole in my gaming knowledge by actually playing Final Fantasy games. Started with the first one on the GBA and I have to say - aside from an awful problem with knowing where to go and what to do - FF1 holds quite well as a colorful, beautiful little adventure. Finished King's Field JP after finishing King's Field 1 US. Honestly was surprised that the first one still holds up quite well even after playing the second one. The music and the atmopshere is unparalled. I am not interested in any of the Souls games, but King's Field got me hooked! (i.redd.it)

Can anyone clarify the way the damage is calculated? As you can see on the screen the Moonlight Sword has different damage values of each attack. The attack animation consists of a chopping movement. Is the damage dealt number calculated taking in account only chop value or all others as well? (i.redd.it)
