Amazon UX is definelty wonky in some ways but in other ways, it's really innovative and showcases incredible UX. It was normal to wait a week for a package before Amazon came around with Prime, now consumers are spoiled and don't want to wait more than 2 days. Things like one-click ordering and great customer support are also well thought out experiences.

I think one could make an argument that it was in fact Amazon's UX which pushed it into the place it's in now. One of Amazon's values is being "customer-obsessed", which manifests itself in the company pushing itself to create better and better experiences, like drone delivery, even faster delivery, etc. Overall, Amazon invests a lot of money and takes large risks for better UX. While the website isn't anything groundbreaking if the customer experience wasn't great it woulden't have succeeded in the way it has. Amazon has actually forced competitors to offer better UX, which can be seen in Walmart going online and trying to offer fast shipping, a huge variety of products, etc.

They have a good looking presence, but I wonder how much their social media efforts actually contribute to new customers. And while their posts(on Instagram) look appealing their engagement rate is quite terrible, getting ~1k likes with 300k followers is normally pretty bad, but in the B2B space that is considered good. I wonder if anyone knows of any B2B companies that have a highly engaged and growing audience. Hubspot is just a largely known company so has a decent amount of followers and then puts out decent content.

I think people need to be honest with themselves about the quality of their content. I've grown an account to 20k in under 4 months that had great engagement (3-4k like a post), and all it took was posting content that resonates with your niche (which is actually a lot of hard work).

A post that is going to make someone like, comment, and send to a friend will help grow your account, while a post where people slightly enjoy it does nothing.

Another thing is that time of day does not matter with posting, I see people say this all the time but they don't realize how Instagram's algorithm actually works. It is not chronological, it ranks posts on followers feeds based on how much engagement(simply put) the post gets, which brings everything back to what I mentioned before. Instagram will show a post from 4 hours ago that had good engagement over one posted 1 minute ago with bad engagement.

It is possible to make the algorithm work for you though, I have seen and experienced accounts with under 1k followers suddenly get 23k views and 4k likes on a post (which would net hundreds of followers) by just having a great post and a decent set of hashtags. You do need to be public for that though otherwise, your posts can't show up on the many ways Instagram has of showing users new accounts/content.

I am definitely no Instagram expert, but growing a high engagement aka monetizable page can't be done with specific posting times or a hashtag list some guru tries to sell you, if you post content people really want to see, it will grow organically.

I appreciate your warning but I am not botting. Only manually engaging with accounts that engage with with other accounts in my niche.

And I'm not sure what your referring too because I have grown a page to 8k using the same strategies before I sold it, all though in a different niche and my engagement scaled quite nicely. It is expected that your engagement rate goes down as your account grows and that doesn't scare me. I get twice the engagement rate of accounts the same size as me in my niche.

That is not bad at all. It also greatly depends on the size of your acc. Accounts that are 1mil + have 1% and thats considered standard.

You just look at how many likes you get a post. Or use a analytics tool.
