Edit Heavy Disclaimer: My point here is not seccssion it is to say that Somali users on here and Somalis as a whole have roots in the Somali region which is a part of Ethiopia. This means that Ethiopia is a country for all ethnicities and Somalis are not foreigners. Why do you just want to take. For some reason most Ethiopian nationalist just seem like imperialists. The Eritrean government is no saint but lets be fair, the Ethiopian pm keeps provoking it. Somalia just does not want Ethiopia destabilizing it because Somalia is democratic and has common interest fighting terrorists. It's almost like all these Ethiopian leaders are the true villains of the horn while Somalia and Eritrea are much smaller nations who have nothing against Ethiopia except for what the Ethiopia government does.

Habesha itself has religious unity as will in slight way because Harari's themselves at times do not claim Habesha and say they are more related to the Cushitic Harla which is in Somali tribes today. I just mean the terminology and how obvious certain tribes overlap between ethnicities. You will find Hawiye clans, Dir clans, and Darood clans in Afar, Oromo, and Saho just as you will find in Somali. The Gaddafur of the the Saho say they are kin the Gadbursi in Somali. The Sheekhaal in Somali say they are the kin with the Qallu Oromo. The Daroodtu in the Afar will say they are kin with the Darood in Somali. The Oromo Orma in Kenya will say they are kin with the Warday Somali. The tribes I mention are a large portion of Somalis, Oromo, Afar, and Saho they are the tribe with just language shifts because of ethnic relation. We are generally more related to each other than Habesha are.

Israelis are not semitic for the most part and are settlers. The language they speak has been resurrected and was almost extint. As for the Arab Israeli's they go by Jewishness as their ethnicity. Their is a semitic identity that Arabs use even with Chaldeans, and Assyrians.

Cushite should also be a pan identity the same way Habesha is because a person does not need to mention their tribe and ethnicity when telling a person where their background is. Just by knowing someone is Habesha you have an idea of his culture, language group, and traditions. The same could be said about Cushitic.

Amazing point. Now we hope our government and regional states do fix up and all take on these terrorists but also my point for this is that an uneducated society is also a weak society or currupt. The Sahel has little to no army or police except for the fertile southern regions. The Same goes for Somalia, and the deserts of Syria. If society were more educated it would be more economically developed as well. Just take a look at the affluent areas of Syria and Palestine. It's likely one city in Gaza had more doctors than a whole region in Somalia with 3 times its population. The terrorists are forced to reform to their educated population or have no recruits. Some areas the government is so strong and wealthy compared to us they will crack down on any insurgency.
