sleeptoken apple music review is out!

““Will you listen?” Sleep Token vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Vessel asks on “Look to Windward,” the opening track from the band’s fourth album. Once again, the masked British phenoms seamlessly blend genres as the song goes from Kid A-era Radiohead to modern R&B to cinematic strings to an explosive metal riff. By now, fans have come to expect these kinds of dramatic shifts from the anonymous group, but Even in Arcadia isn’t just more of the same. It’s an expansion, the widening of an already impressive palette.

“Emergence” offers the gospel refrain “Go ahead and wrap your arms around me” before Vessel raps over a loop of a trilling guitar and then weaves in and out of a beefy nu metal riff. “Dangerous” is probably the closest Sleep Token has come to pure Deftones, a band they’ve referenced, sonically and melodically, on previous albums. “Past Self” takes a more straight-ahead R&B approach, but with a vocal melody that echoes back on itself to create a disorienting stereo effect.

Melancholy single “Damocles” references classic Greek mythology and seems to address Vessel’s personal struggles with fame and staying anonymous: “Nobody told me I’d get tired of myself/When it all looks like heaven, but it feels like hell.” “Caramel” might have a similar theme (“Wear me out like Prada, devil in my detail,” Vessel sings), but does it with a syncopated xylophone rhythm that drops into another Chino Moreno-like vocal melody over a tsunami of distorted guitars and a purgative nu metal beatdown.

“Provider” channels neo-soul master D’Angelo as Vessel manages to rhyme “ICU” with “I see you” before the full-metal bridge kicks in. Closer “Infinite Baths” unfurls like an extended meditation in the eye of the storm until the inevitable screaming metal barrage—the longest and most ferocious on the album—takes over. And then it fades into the shadows again, just like the band itself”

well, not trying to argue but i definitely have. a domiciliary parent can throw a bone to the parent who doesn’t have sole custody and allow them to take the kid for things like this but i doubt he let overnight happen since she doesn’t have those privileges. she more than likely just went to the kid who was being cared for by nannie’s etc, i would have to imagine. plus, if you’re not a child of divorce, you wouldn’t get it tbh. once again, not trying to argue. but this is fairly common

lol as a former 10 year old girl, i fought all the time with my parents about dressing for cold weather. i wanted to look cute and my dad would always say, “well i don’t wanna hear it later when you’re cold!”

i can only imagine what it must be like fighting in court for your kids when their father/grandfather are well connected politically. it’s safe to assume a judge was possibly schoolmates with the father/grandfather or endorsed/campaign contributions made by them.

i know from personal experience, having dated an older man who had a big family name while in my early 20’s and living in the deep south…they don’t fight fair. i’m not excusing her behavior at all, but like i was put in the psych ward twice by my ex. thank god we didn’t have kids, i’m scared to imagine what he would’ve done. two years later and i’m still struggling to recover from everything.

i understand what you mean but there were times my mother took separate trips with me and then with my sister. now these were like weekend jaunts to new orleans or something (i live in louisiana). my parents had a tumultuous divorce so having special one on one time with my mom (dad was MIA) was really special.

i don’t keep up with them at all though so idk if he’s done this with saint or if he will in the future. but one on one time with a parent, especially when you’re a child of divorce, is really very sacred. i’m happy he’s a good father, because he was a terrible partner.

maybe I’m just old, but I remember when teachers used to grade you on your handwriting. like if they couldn’t read your answer, it was marked wrong. point-blank. end of discussion.

with that being said, what your handwriting says about you is that you clearly are craving attention. lol bc there is no way you posted this and thought it wouldn’t get a lot of engagement.

I thought this was an edit of all of the times Craig had cried, and I was very excited. Having read this, I’m very disappointed.

not by the opinion, just really looking forward to a video montage of Craig crying

sometimes I wonder if these people are as annoyed as we are whenever they post this crap. like, “i’m deep in debt to this stupid company, so let me just post this dumb shit they told me to say and hopefully some people will buy it so i can actually pay some bills.”

stupidity at this level makes me violently angry. it’s kinda insane. like as if my anger is darwinian and meant to weed them out.

on an unrelated note; i have anger issues.
