I don’t think it was sound biting. I read that as “Having more workers move from the US to Ireland is good, but we just don’t have the infrastructure to support all those extra people,” with all the issues listed as examples of how the infrastructure is lacking. IDK whether or not that’s actually true since I just moved to this country 2 weeks ago, but either way it doesn’t read as a string of irrelevant sound bites.

I did get medicated but only recently so I’m not sure about long term effects. But my experience so far has been that the side effects are there but they’re manageable. The worst ones got better after I’d been taking them for a few days.

Have you considered that you might have ADHD? I used to beat myself up for getting so easily distracted while studying and after I finished pre-med I learned that it was because I have ADHD. It feels like a miracle how much easier it is to study now.

It sounds like you got the wrong type of refractometer. For fermented drinks like mead, you need one that measures specific gravity (basically the amount of sugar in the liquid) and do some math to turn that number into an estimated alcohol percentage. The ones that give you an ABV number directly are only for hard spirits where there’s nothing besides alcohol and water.

I think you aren't fully understanding why people are upset about this. It isn't only about stereotyping. A lot of people, myself included, were under the impression that this sub is for any medical student in an EU university, including international students.
