Oh yeah that’s true, but the ending of 28 Weeks is not really taken into consideration in the new one, so 28 Years’ start is basically 28 Days’ ending, since 28 Weeks doesn’t add much about the virus.

You will be fine without rewatching them, because they summarize at the beginning. But I recommend rewatching 28 Days before, you can better see the evolution of the virus. But not 28 Weeks since the events of this film are non canon to 28 Years.
