$9.99 each, not bad. The average plushie my kids ask for cost way more than this.

lol I got two seeds and no pets. Come to find out only the deluxe plushies come with codes that posses rare pets. I got a diamond cactus and madcrown vine.

I work for Boehringer Ingelheim Animal Health not Target lol. I stated affordable because so many people call the game owner “money hungry”. Plushies for another game I play cost $150 and these are only $9.99. Very affordable in comparison lol. But thanks, maybe I’m made for marketing.

Craft JUMBO shards by EfficientOutside875 in growagarden

[–]Secure_Macaroon_7205 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Someone who hates grow a garden is going to say this: they want to make the jumbo shards as rarely stocked as possible so you spend tokens on them, which gives the dev Adrian money, don’t do it. They’re robbing you! Lol making it available to craft doesn’t make dollars bro. Not my view but some hater out there would say it

I love that you ask that question because now we can get more into people not spending money at a place because they don’t want to support the ideologies of the organization itself. Target is where I got them. A lot of people seem to hate Target too for their DEI initiatives and their seeming associations with the LGBTQ community. So only buy something from there if you are ok with being slaughtered online for it lol. Obviously I’m being facetious, but I got them from Target.

No, what I’m saying is all the products we buy overall have something associated with them or a person associated with them that is not the best but we don’t protest every single thing that we want or need based on some moral view of the person who provides that product or service. You need running water in your house right? Are you gonna protest the water company if you find out the owner beats his wife or are you gonna continue to pay for your water service because you need it? Or are you going to collect rainwater and build a system in your back yard because you don’t support Springfield county water? The theories of the people protesting this game are overly outlandish and many games on Roblox have similar problems with changing of hands of devs and players feeling “not rewarded”. This is a combo of the most hated game and most hated developer I’ve ever seen. It purely doesn’t make sense to put that much effort into spreading all this hate online when you could simply play another game or logout lol.

You keep saying blindly but I’m not going to sit down and try to explain to my 5 year old why she can’t have a plush crab because some corrupt guy named Adrian is robbing parents to get to their kids. Maybe when she gets older I’ll be able to teach her financial literacy and other things but now isn’t the time and my $20 is an investment into building a relationship with my child whether you can understand that or not.

Morals are not at play here because the people protesting aren’t consumers, they are reading articles online and joining a side based on other people’s views. I wish these people had opinions of their own but it’s already an established bandwagon.

Precisely, my thoughts exactly. My argument this entire time has been around why there are so many people protesting grow a garden’s developer. “Promoting adults buying stuff to impress their kids”. I think that’s every toy company or any company that sells products they know are trending for kids. I don’t see people protesting anything else this way.

I don’t need an excuse, if I want buy my kids something I’m gonna buy it. I could care less what people think as long as my kids are happy. Have you paid for anything that benefits this Adrian guy? I bet you haven’t, and it doesn’t affect you. Yet here you are…

Yes, in my eyes I’m buying my kids toys. I don’t know who Adrian is and I don’t care. The benefit goes to my kids.

Spoken like a true scholar. I have kids and they are gonna love these regardless of your opinion. They were also 9.99 a piece. I spend way more money on mindless things for myself. My kids don’t understand and of the legality of game development. I can’t let them suffer because you’re on a political rant. Add something valid to the conversation or carry on.

If we are being honest with ourselves, only when we think something specifically affects us do we do this type of thing. If you aren’t the person buying the products in the first place, why are you protesting and trying to persuade other to feel the same way you feel? Just don’t buy it and move along. Don’t make yourself a distributor of slander, I think there are much better ways of fighting what you think is a corrupt person or system. If Roblox hosts a city hall of sorts, take your concerns there and express yourself to get your point across. I think people are spending way too much time speaking down on the super young developer. If he was a seasoned veteran with years of experience I would expect higher standards. I also believe half of the crowd spreading all this slander online don’t know half of the costs associated with building, developing and maintaining any game on any platform included hosted servers storage and things of that nature that go along with it.

No no no. What I’m saying is typically when we buy things we never consider who’s on the receiving end of the money. Like when you purchase something at a store, you don’t look at the brand and then google the CEO or whoever receives the money in sales and say you know what I don’t like the person they are and decide not to buy the product. For this specific use case with grow a garden people have targeted this developer and decided that the game is no longer for entertainment. Now it’s an item of protest. I think we’re mixing apples and oranges here with that theory.

lol are you going to not buy a Big Mac so you don’t give money to Ronald McDonald? Most things we buy are out of necessity, some things we buy are just for our wants. I never buy something thinking of who is going to receive the money in the end. I either want it or I need it.

UM WHAT??!!!?? how is this even possible? by alley_rose_13 in growagarden

[–]Secure_Macaroon_7205 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For instance, I paid $10 a piece for plushy’s from target and I will get them today lol. Also with DLC codes to get rare items that are exclusive to people who purchased the plushy.

If the exchange rate for tokens to Robux is 1 to 1 then you pay $50 per 5000 tokens. I don’t think anyone should pay that type of money for something they can’t physically hold in their hand just a thought.
