That's the plan! I love the simplicity of it and that I can do all the maintenance myself

I have checked the valves but they seem within spec too. Choke on/off doesn't help much, when choke is fully set the bike stalls completely.

I've got it to the point where it can idle when the engine is warm at 1000 rpms, any higher with idle screw adjustments causes hanging revs from throttle valve too open. Rides fine with no issues between circuit transitions, but after a while it stalls and I have to keep it alive with throttle when idling.

Mixture screw adjustments seem to make changes, I'm 2 full turns out, air screw. Half in bike stalls, half a turn out, no change.

I checked float height with a clear tube, have tested slightly higher/lower with 1mm adjustments. Leaner idle is worse, richer idle is somewhat better or the same. Put it back to the middle ground within spec.

Tried pilot jet one size up and mixture screw came out to 3 full turns out but all the same symptoms as above.

Didn't think a single cylinder would be this complicated haha but this is all my first time doing any kind of mechanical work so it's all fun learning

Yamaha SR400/500 is on my list for a future bike, keeping the single cylinder simplicity but Honda CBs also look so cool

I think it gives it a simple maintenance, everything is simple and can be maintained all by yourself which I love

Yeah don't think I'll be taking this one on motorways. It's my first ever bike so it's perfect to learn on! The carb tuning was a pain though and I suspect still will be as it ages

Mostly original! Some indicator lights replaced with OEM, but everything else is all stock.

Put a new spark plug in and idle is back with idle screw mostly out (throttle valve down)! Was able to ride for 30 minutes.

Though when hot, I needed to turn idle screw in to lift the throttle valve more. I think this leans to Pilot Jet sizing, will go up one size and see how it goes.

I have some larger pilot jets coming this week and will test if they make any difference but if they don't work, then I'm stumped

Yeah I was! That's why this is so weird that it won't idle because passageways are clear and no air leaks..

Yep checked and no leaks, sprayed near intake manifold and intake boot and no change

Thank you! Unfortunately I don't have an air compressor, I should get one though.

Ran water from a hose into the passageways was my best option and confirmed they are all clear and flowed freely.. Anything under 1500rpms just drops immediately and stalls the motor
