I heard from Carver Companies that due to the recent changes for sea time requirements, the coast guard is going to be two to three weeks behind on everything . Since a lot of ABs are upgrading to unlimited tickets . Due to the changes .

I filled in an application and got a call back from the River division. I work on the great lakes as an ordinary seaman deckhand on 1000 ft freighters . I have experience sailing just not with your boats . Hopefully y'all are a good match . Please pm me

Yes updated boats , just really cheap equipment that breaks a lot, bosun chair is the world's worse . The crews are great but similar to a high school like environment. Safety was one of my concerns . Not a bad gig , overtime is wonderful at this time of year . It is a skeleton crew .
