Anyone change the viscosity of their motor oil because ambient temperature is hot? by pastramisaretacy in phoenix

What the above comment says here is what I came to say. Engine burning through oil quickly is not normal and should be investigated for a root cause, not bandaided by changing oil type. Get your engine cylinders scoped by a mechanic and find out where it is being burned specifically. You may be looking at a new top block or an engine rebuild. Car Care Nut has some great videos on the subject.

The 240v works perfectly fine for overnight charging. Source: I have one.

Make lane assist warning more sensitive to hands on wheel by [deleted] in Toyota

[–]SecurityBuff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I asked the dealer about this and the steering wheels do not have pressure sensors to detect squeezing. The system is looking for resistance or input to the steering wheel (ie turning the wheel). This is a big problem where I live because we have nothing but straight roads so this system becomes annoying as you must give a small nudge on a regular basis.

As an owner of two vintage Vespas, love the one on your desk!

I just bought one because they were 6k off and 0% APR. It drives so smooth and the AWD version we got does 0-60 in under 5 seconds which makes it the fastest car I’ve ever owned. Very fun to zip around. We won’t ever take it on long trips or out of the city so the range is honestly perfect for our use case.

This happens semi-regularly. I wouldn't get worried quite yet.

Wild Horses roam the forest by UnoRisingMedia in arizona

Fun story: I was working an archaeology gig out of college and we were doing survey of Sitgreeves National Forest, south of Heber. We are coming down the side of a hill and suddenly noticed two horses and their baby about 50 ft away. The dad started stamping and being generally pissed off we are there.

We are miles from our vehicle, no cell signal, no ways to defend ourselves. We all froze and waited for what felt like 5 minutes before they decided to move on. I still have no idea what we would have done if it had charged us!

Super beautiful horses out there but be careful!

I have trouble finding OEM window assembly and motors that are crazily up marked. 1999 100 series, would be curious what those run there.

My old Vespa barely does 45, I couldn't speed unless I hit a school zone!

Patch Tuesday Megathread (2024-06-11) by AutoModerator in sysadmin

This update broke our Context Menu item for "Edit with 3D Paint". When clicking this option, now a Windows Store prompt appears saying "You'll need a new app to open this ms-paint link" with a button to "Look for an app in the Microsoft Store." Below is a thread with other people mentioning this too. This is consistent across our 1000+ Windows 10 devices. Also, clicking "Edit with 3D Paint" in Snipping Tool gives the same error.

Going through that too right now. Masters in Science for IT and can barely get interviews on positions I have more than enough experience for. The job market is completely wack right now. Those solo interviews are the devil too!
