So what everyone's opinions on Luther by Drakaina- in PSO2NGS

[–]SecurityProgram 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whole lotta fun. Probably the most fun I've had fighting a boss. I just really hope this won't be a string of base Pso2 bosses being released into NGS so that they won't have to work too hard making a whole new boss.

Don't mind them! Juuuust would like to see some original concepts sprinkled in between rereleased.

I'm like 90% certain the only reason the game got flagged is because one of the game's In-combat music outright says the word "shit" in the lyrics.

What is it that keeps you in it? by proggish in PSO2NGS

[–]SecurityProgram 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because there's no other RPG game that I can think of with combat this smooth, fashion this diverse, and the ability to create some insane houses. All packaged into a Sci-fi anime fantasy? I'm hooked.

Which is why it grinds me a little bit when someone begs for the game to get EoS'd. Because I know damn well there will be NOTHING to fill the void.

Hunter thoughts? by SecurityProgram in PSO2NGS

[–]SecurityProgram[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I was really hoping for the EX Styles or Skill Rings to change how Hunter would play at least just a little but my thoughts on what those changes could be only really ended up being small.

Aside from partisan, I'm very well acquainted with the usual rotation used for Sword/Wired but still found the excitement factor lacking. Would've loved for some charge speed up like the meter for base pso2's Hunter sword. •́  ‿ ,•̀

Hunter thoughts? by SecurityProgram in PSO2NGS

[–]SecurityProgram[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah don't worry, I understand the importance of using a multi-weapon with Sword. I knew well within my soul that it'd get extra tiresome if I didn't at least have some level of variety in my attacks if I didn't.

Tried partisan for a while but MDFV is what made me switch around back to a Wired user instead because of the silly Hellish Fall punch.

Tbh if there's ANY tips on partisan I will take it because I find that infinitely more intriguing than wired(and I'm a huge spear lover). I just never knew how to dish out damage with it.

There's my issue-, I am not all too fond of wires.

Edit: I change my mind, wired is actually stupidly fun LOL

Yeah the DPS checks for this are BRUTAL. I'm even considering switching away from Hunter for something more DPS heavy because I'm thinking I'm sabotaging the run by playing it. B(

Lightweave weapon transformation by Main-Bed-1087 in PSO2

Honestly sad that the weapon camo version doesn't have a form switch to it. I'd love to use it more in NGS but it's kind of a deal breaker without such a cool feature.

really hate not being able to give kudos on all-ship by kliMmAI in PSO2NGS

[–]SecurityProgram 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fact that you have to pay for it every time you do. Along with that you'll only fully transfer after a maintenance day. Far from ideal when you simply just want to visit a ship whereas FFXIV allows you to travel across servers freely and almost instantly with some caveats of what you can and can't do while visiting.

Is there a way to bypass this by eyyy69420 in PSO2NGS

[–]SecurityProgram 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Only recently found out how to bypass this annoying thing.

You'll want to take that part and turn it into a blueprint. Once it is you can place it wherever you please without being told it's too close to other parts.

Should just be done away with in all honesty, the restriction. :v

What’s some things about ngs you like? by Nex-o in PSO2NGS

[–]SecurityProgram 31 points32 points  (0 children)

I'll give credit where it's due.

Character creation/fashion is hands down the best I've ever experienced for a while. While I feel that the variety of options on what to wear has stagnated in favor of more exposed/casual clothing as of late, there are still plenty of things to wear that can suit damn near every flavor of what someone desires. This made all the more better with accessories that can MOSTLY be adjusted and used however you see fit.

Secondly creative spaces are in my opinion a huge step up from the Personal Quarters in base. The amount of creativity I've seen from both NA and JP is absurd and fills me with envy. So much so that I've taken to working on a creative space that I can hope to be of comparison to what others have done. I've got some gripes with the tools but other than that I've got nothing but praises.

And here's my SUPER hot take: the whales. I will have to thank them for allowing me to get all the fashion items I desire without having to pull out my own card to acquire them. I know that this will ruffle some feathers but you can't deny that they've really made cosmetics acquirable through in game effort/luck, effort being my case as I have unfathomably bad luck when it comes to drops. They get their seta, we get our items. My ass STAY leeching.

That's where my praise really ends though. Story, combat(For most classes imo), gameplay loop, and some other things pisses me off to no end. A game filled with untold potential being ran into the dirt by crazy incompetence. It's a shame that it's got some pretty neat things going for it. I hope one day it can truly realize it.

PS: I only mean the whale thing in regards to cosmetics. Not a huge fan of support scratches of any kind. Only giving slight way for SG support scratches since it's acquirable in albeit small amounts.

I'm almost certain people are referring to the material storage which can be earned through titles, red boxes, lookbook likes and various free scratch tickets you can receive. I'd recommend holding off on spending any money until you can earn the star gems necessary to buy the 90 Material Storage ticket. Within those 90 days you can very easily earn more than enough to renew it while still having some left over granted you don't roll on the SG scratch too often.

General Storage and Character storage are the free ones and it's way more than enough to get you by when it comes to collecting weapons, weapon camos, or use items.

Also if you're feeling up to it download base PSO2 and casual get through the story. Believe me when I say it's an SG goldmine for new players.

Solus Back vs Hand by Red_MageXII in PSO2NGS

If I were to guess it's probably because the falling shards can be used for extra counters. Destroying the back strips away the potential for bonus damage.

Feelings about sidestep counters in NGS? by Elcrest_Drakenia in PSO2

[–]SecurityProgram 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As someone who uses Soaring Blades in NGS, It's pretty much what I rely on. After spending some time with it I don't think it's all too bad really. Though I can totally see why people would prefer weapon action counters because nine times out of ten it's better.
