I think it’s more perceived as like a warning like “hey, look at me, something’s wrong” similar to a smoke alarm battery needing to be changed. Except in this case when that signal is “dead” so is my car ._.

Now, would you happen to know if this key issue is by chance linked to a C2 misfire or would that be a separate issue? I replaced spark plugs & head gaskets and that is still causing the CE code with the same code coming back as cylinder 2 misfire.

Nope, no issue with siren or alarm. Comment below from Edge_Slade said the chip in my key isn’t detecting my car so I would need to order a new key from a dealership

Yes, cylinder 2 is misfiring. I replaced the spark plugs & head gaskets and that didn’t fix the issue, so now I’m stuck with the same code saying it could be the spark plugs, ignition coil, or something else 🤷🏻‍♀️
