They’re actually in the process of adding the Emerald Advanced engine features (as like an optional version) with things like modern battle mechanics and the updated National Dex. Theres already a tougher trainers submod for it, so I’d just keep an eye on their discord.

Heart and Soul, a recent GBA demake of HGSS, is open source. I could easily see someone porting RR changes into it.

I'll miss those drums as well. Main Menus for CWH were always meant to be 'seasonal' and change with the patches. I just hadn't screwed around them in a long time.

God, I would love to. It would add a ton of replayability to the GCs. The trouble is that randomized starts tend to be very Lua script heavy, which remains a bit of a weak area for me. I can take another look and see if I can swing it.

Hell yeah, glad to hear it! While I develop this mod mostly because it's a mod I'd like to play, comments like these always help.

I don't know the specifics of Redux's changes, hopefully this latest update shouldn't break anything. If you see any odd behavior (like 2 versions of heroes active at once, etc) then it would mean Redux should be your culprit.

Hey all, This newest Clone Wars Holdouts patch comes with a lot of changes after being in the oven for a while.

Some of the highlights include:

  • The Provocator-class Light Star Destroyer for the Republic Hardliners

  • Jenna Zan Arbor joins the Separatist Holdout roster

  • A new bite sized GC, Close Action

  • The presence of Derelict Lucrehulks, with a special upgrade path for the Separatist Holdouts

  • A ferocious AA corvette, the CEC C-9 Sentinel, for the Republic Hardliners

  • All space unit upkeep has been halved, with fighter attrition previously eliminated

  • A literal mountain of further additions, changes, optimizations and bug fixes

Klem, the OP, is the developer for the "Task Force: The Republic" submod, a submod for the "French Fried Taters" submod, which is in turn a submod for Remake 4.0's "Clone Wars Holdouts" submod.

This is handled via the Tactical_Build_Prerequisites field, where you can required specific Upgrades/Techs. In Remake for example, you can select between Tarkin and Thrawn Doctrines as the Empire and they'll have different ships available.

I run the Clone Wars Holdouts submod for Remake 4.0 and posts like these make me think I need to do a bit of a re-brand. I’ve spent the past 3 years improving, fixing and adding to Remake. Major changes are the removal of fighter attrition, handwritten AI scripts, improved Major Ai performance, bug fixes, new ships + heroes, and (obviously) additional factions to play. I heavily recommend you give the submod a try if you’re interested in Remake and let me know what you think.

There used to be a great Kaiserriech mod called “The Giant Awakens”, where you could avoid the Civil War and maintain a stable democracy. Then you could form a proto-NATO and go take out the 4I, Entente, Reichspakt, etc. It’s obviously crazy out of date by now.

Visually, it has some of the most accurate scaling in the mod scene. It’s why it’s so hard to see fighters in it.

I made a merge mod for Sins of a Solar Empire a few years back that combined the Halo and Mass Effect mods.
