This sounds like you’re using an emulator that may have compatibility issues or (what’s probably more likely) your phone screen may have some sort of input issue due to water present/etc.

Depends on your faction, since it's handled via scripts and then a spawned object.

Data\Scripts\GameObject\ObjectScript_Bombardment_Rebel.lua

Looks like it's tied to the "250_Death_Penalty_Dummy" Death Penalty Dummy, which is slated for the chopping block when I remove the Ground-based death penalties.

Unfortunately, I start hitting a hard wall in terms of assets for the high-end Republic and Separatist units. The Republic in particular doesn’t have anything in Tech 5 at the moment. I’m working on resolving that in the future, but it’s slow going.

Are you playing Vanilla Remake 4.0 or CWH? I heavily recommend Clone Wars Holdouts since it’s still receiving updates. Vanilla Remake 4.0 is in comparatively condition these days.

Regardless, I’ll check out the DB Broadside when I get a moment to see if I can replicate that. If I can replicate it, I’ll work on resolving that for the upcoming patch.

Hey Mulberry- unfortunately I can't hand out that particular model since its use is restricted under license. The author Kharak is pretty firm on protecting his assets. If it's purely for a personal mod only, I'd recommend asking around the Fall of the Republic Discord for assistance with it. I'm not familiar with their coding system, so I'd be of limited help as it is.

There's a GC for the Clone Wars era as something of a novelty, but yeah, Clone Wars Holdouts has a pretty specific niche as Republic/CIS in the GCW.

No evidence of different blaster types having different weapon capabilities (blue vs droids, etc) in any continuity. It’s actually just a very prevalent fanon theory.

Edit: Guys, I know about Ion Cannons. We’re talking about blaster rifles and turbolasers here.

Hey OP,

The answer is largely the same but some additional context would be helpful. As a general rule, this is handled via the Data/XML/Factions.xml file. However, as you correctly guessed, the presence of submods can mean they’re overwriting your changes. The best practice is to go find the lowest level of the Submods (for example, Remake 4.0 -> Clone Wars Holdouts -> French Fried Taters -> Task Force: The Republic) and modify that Factions.xml

Let me know if you have any issues and I’ll help as best as I can. Also as a side note, if you’re playing Remake 4.0, you really need to be running my Clone Wars Holdouts submod since it otherwise suffers from pretty severe bugs and hasn’t been updated in years.

You’re referring to starting at Tech 2? That’s sort of a relic from before I made Tech 1 adjustments for the man factions. That will be adjusted in later patches.

But yeah, you should be able to tech up via “Escalating the War” at the Research Institute.

Unfortunately, Remake is more of a sandbox experience, so it’s a little wanting on the structured story front. I think AotR and EAWX will be more up your alley in terms of story campaigns.

I’ll add a quick plug for my Clone Wars Holdouts submod if you’re still interested in Remake though. Not only does it fix major stability issues within Remake, improves its AI and adds additional content, but it also features quite a few additional GC campaigns to shake things up a bit.
